To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Lovely hotel. Great location in a more residential area of Amsterdam but easily reached by tram. Not the place to be if you want a very touristy Amsterdam experience but if you want a nice hotel with great local restaurants/cafes (one or two blocks away there’s lots of choice) then it’s a perfect spot.

Lovely area, could walk into the centre of Amsterdam in about 20 mins. Staff were very nice and breakfast was very good. Rooms a little tired, need a new carpet and a bit if a refresh. However, beds were very comfortable and bathrooms quite new. Overall very happy with our stay.

Calm and green location of Amsterdam. Room is spacious and bed is comfortable and good size. We arrive early and staff let us early check-in without extra charge. Additionally, love the shower button.

GermanyI had to take this night at the hotel due to an emergency (I couldn't get into the aribnb I booked), and I think the price- 400€ for one night - is way too high.
The room was clean and nice, comfortable bed. I enjoyed the shower very much. Breakfast was very good. I liked the fact there are snacks and drinks you can buy independently next to the reception.

United Kingdom- I had a simple ask for a plug convertor (UK to EU) but i was told i had to buy one from the hotel to use for 1 time. This was at a price of 15eur! Receptionists could have been more customer friendly on their approach

LuxembourgWater flow in the shower room was weak due to low water pressure. In addition, it was a bit difficult to adjust the water temperature as sometimes it took me some time to warm up the water. It might be better to have a towel rack under the faucet. But not a major one.
The location was pretty good. It's close to the city centers and museum areas. All staff were so friendly(Amazing). There was a little mistake from the staff but they fixed it in a timely manner with an explanation.
