Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews

Old building so you can hear people walking above you at all hours. The shower was a bit weird, has no door so prone to flooding.
Great location, very quiet area. A 15-20 minute walk to central so you are far enough away from the tourist and noise. Lots of supermarkets and eating options close by. Friendly staff on check in and check out. Note: it has narrow stairs so if you have heavy luggage to carry you may need some help.

No lift as we were with pram,dryer not working properly,utensils not enough for 4 members and the worst thing happened that the batman toy got missed from our room,we looked up every corner of room as it was fav toy of mine 4 yrs old kid. Last thing is its over pricey as compared to facilities 🙄😏

Not enough light in rooms. No place to put clothes in bedroom....wardrobe was in lounge. WiFi not good.
Good size for 3 . Well equipped kitchen. Large shower room. Comfortable beds. Very clean . Recepción very helpful.

The staff was helpful and very nice, although one of the receptionist was a bit rude. The place was expensive for what it offers.
The locations was nice! The room was small but fine. Breakfast was not available.

The room was good and very comfortable. I was staying with my family. The staff was very responsive. Our induction had some issues which was frustrating however the staff was very responsive in mitigating the problem. The connectivity to Centraal station is just 3 mins walk. We had sufficient utensils, towels, and an iron board.

Not suitable for babies, we needed to improvise many things. For example you cannot dim the light for naps, because there is a rounded window high in the wall from the living room. Also most of the electricity sockets connected on the floor level easily reached by the baby.

The only things we can highlight are air conditioner absence which is not critical at all, and no ventilation at bathroom
The bright clean accommodation with big windows, all necessary stuff, friendly administration and in good location. Groceries, restaurants, city center and public transport stops are close.

There was a very long list of house rules that made us a little nervous about the kind of clientele that may try to stay at this hotel. We didn't love the very dark decor in the hallways and our unit, and the dim lighting in our unit made it impossible to brighten up. The sofa bed wasn't super comfortable. There seemed to be staff at the front desk every time we went by except on the morning we checked out... there was a "Back in 15 mins" sign, but after waiting almost 20 mins, we had to leave to catch our train... and hoped the staff would find our key (left on the desk) and return our deposit (they did).
The unit was very clean, and the main bed was comfortable. Plenty of towels. Convenient kitchenette. Location was good... a quick metro ride to Centraal.

Well furnished spacious apartment within 4 min walk to tram and metro stations. Grocery stores and restaurants were also very close. Rijksmuseum was a 12 min walk. If you wanted to, you can walk to almost all attractions and take the tram back. We had a wonderful time. The staff was very helpful and responsive. I would definitely recommend this apartment to anyone with a family of 4 needing space, comfort, access, and functionality!

Narrow steep stairs to the room but then again that’s part of the Amsterdam experience
Comfortable, clean, accurate pictures on the site, easily easily by no 4 tram from Amsterdam centraal station after getting off the train from schipol airport which was handy on arrival day. Staff there were very friendly. Kitchen handy travelling with kids for breakfast before day touring sites.
