The hotel is suitable for a short stay. The restaurant has a pleasant ambiance, though the breakfast options are somewhat limited. Unfortunately, they don't offer a wide variety of choices, and you cannot even get a café latte, which was a bit disappointing. The rooms and beds are adequate; however, the bathroom is small and quite basic. ---

All hotels were more expensive on the New year The check out was rather early at 11:00. We were not allowed to stay any time longer.

Windows were impossible to open and there was no ventilation from the bathroom. Staff communicated only in Dutch and breakfest was rather simple and not worth the money. When something was finnished on the board, it was not refilled. Therefore when on breakfest at 8:30 there was good chance you will have only bread and few slises of ham and chesse, jam and one egg. Never any fruits and vegetable usually already gone. Last day we were told the hot water is broken??? and got zero cafe nor tea. This was shame. We loved that place, but breakfest is not comparable to standard hotel offer. And there is no alternative where to go for breakfest in neighborhood. Only to the city.

Perfect location on metro, just 10 mins to city centre and at the same time in countryside with lovely, quiet surroundings. Hotel is impressive historical place, beautifully maintained and restored. Comfortable bed.

Only negatives were dead flies in my room window and when I ate at the restaurant it took them 20+ minutes after sitting down to take my food order. Despite the negatives, I would return.

Generally clean and pleasant atmosphere in a nice rural town. Food was good and they have a nice 'pub' section to the hotel so you can use restaurant or pub depending on your fancy. Nice garden out the back which gets the afternoon sun and staff friendly. Good parking also.

There was no warm water but maybe that's a wicked way to balance the boiling hot room where you can't open the old windows to get air properly. It's a pretty safe place though, I could tell by the fact that all the guests including myself had to keep our room door open trying too cool the rooms. Cleaning can be improved as there is dust laying there for a few weeks. Also, my room was definitely not the one from the photos as it was way smaller. Unfortunately, there was nobody at the reception upon check out who I could share this feedback with so I'm sharing it here, maybe you will read this sooner than my private messages.

The location is good, a quick ride to Rotterdam center. Free parking is great and the bar and restaurant look really nice and modern.

Room rate for what you get is way too high. Breakfast had flies on cucumber and salmon, selection breakfast very very poor and cheap products. Pitty I did not take a picture to prove it, but believe me it was bad. Although friendly personel, not being interested how the stay was and was being checked out by the cleaners.

No airco with 27 degress celcius is quite hot. The room did have a ventilator. The stairway to the upper floor can be a bit tricky if you're having physical limitations.

Great room in an historic looking building. Friendly personal helping us and providing us with any request we did have. Very close to a metro station which brings you directly either to Ahoy or Rotterdam city center.

Disorganization and careless

Worst customer service can one gets ever! no one knows what to do, and a lot of miscommunication between the personnel in the Hotel and their Office, we had very bad experience there!

when we arrived, they had closed the Hotel. They knew we were checking in late, but they did not inform us that they were closing, did not try to contact us to check when we were arriving. We had to drive around Rotterdam in the night to find a Hotel. When we told them the next day they did not apologize and showed no sign of remorce. One of us paid before arriving and they did not help at all with giving him money back for the night he did not stay there. The breakfast was pretty small and not worth the money. The rooms had no aircondition, only a very old fan, it was over 30 degrees outside. You should not bring too much luggage here, this is an old Hotel with narrow and steep stairs where it is very hard getting your luggage up. When we were supposed to check out, there weren’t anyone there to help us. The doors were closed and we had to call someone in order to get them to come and help us.

The Hotel is cute and in a nice, quiet neighbourhood.
