Booking.com guest review guidelinesTo keep the rating score and review content relevant for your upcoming trip, we archive reviews older than 24 months.
Only a customer who has booked through Booking.com and stayed at the property in question can write a review. This lets us know that our reviews come from real guests, like you. Who better to tell others about the free breakfast, friendly staff, or quiet room than someone who’s stayed at the property before?
We want you to share your story, both the good and the bad. All we ask is that you follow a few simple guidelines.
We believe review contributions and property responses will highlight a wide range of opinion and experiences, which are critical in helping guests make well-informed decisions about where to stay.
Contributions to Booking.com are a reflection of the dedication of our guests and properties, and are treated with the utmost respect.
Whether negative or positive, we'll post every comment in full, as quickly as possible, after being moderated to comply with Booking.com guidelines. We'll also provide transparency over the status of submitted content.
Once a review has been submitted, you can modify it by contacting Booking.com customer service.
We will use the same guidelines and standards for all user-generated content as well as the property replies to that content.
We will allow the contributions to speak for themselves, and we won’t be the judge of reality. Booking.com’s role is that of a distributor of feedback from both guest and property.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc...).

눇The hotel is in an exceptional location, exactly next to the Abbey Church. It's the ideal place to stay in order to explore this beautiful, picturesque town. The room was basic but clean and comfortable and we enjoyed staying there. It was quiet during the night which we liked. The breakfast was also nice. There is a good restaurant at the premises of the hotel.

눇Breakfast was delicious. Bed/kamer ok ( no hairdryer) Very steep staircase, no lift. This hotel is not for older people or persons who have problems with walking. Only for visitors with light luggage because of staircase.

눉Hotel needs a refurbishment and updating. Rooms and corridors and general facilities looking very tired and need of an update. Bedroom very basic and quite small. Needed to ask at reception to borrow a hairdryer.
눇Good location, in centre of village. Large bathroom Breakfast was OK

눉At night the heating did not work, it was a problem because with a small child, you had to watch all night to cover baby, so the trip will not end prematurely, for example because of the baby's cold.
눇Service very kind and helpful. Nice atmosphere. Despite the lack of heating at night (heating worked during day), I would highly recommend this hotel (I did not report this problem, so I do not know if this would be fixed).

눇The location in the center of this beautiful village was great! Typical food and wines from the region were very tasty. The hotel manager gave us good advice to visit the area.

눉The private car park is not close to the Hotel and accepts only ten to twelve cars depending on how the other clients park their cars. It is not set on a tarmac base. During the dry months this is not a problem, but be prepared to get wet if it is raining.
눇Very helpful and friendly staff. The Hotel is in a quiet village next to an impressive huge Church which towers over the main streets. The town has all the buildings painted white and has been given the name 'The White Town' There is easy access to the main routes and Germany is only 35 minutes away. The dining room is very spacious and the breakfast has a wide selection of bread, cereal, eggs boiled and scrambled, fruit juice, coffee, teas, etc. The room was pleasant with Wi-Fi and a flat screen television. Extra pillows and blankets were available if needed. There was no Iron or Hair dryer in the room but they are available from the reception at no extra cost. The Hotel has a lunch and dinner menu. Lunch is available up to 17.00 hrs and you are asked to order Dinner before 20.30 hrs. Both menus are very good with a good selection of food.
