I liked the neighborhood. I liked the host. The bed was very comfortable. I liked that the room was completely modern in an historic iconic Dutch house… including step narrow staircase.

Nothing- the place was perfect for what we needed.

Such a lovely place to stay, in a quiet street in Amsterdam. The accommodate is well designed, with huge rooms and minimal decor suiting the Amsterdam style of living. The bed is extremely comfy and cosy.

It is in a 3 storey building with very steep stairs. They didn’t supply milk, although they had a kettle and coffee machine. They didn’t restock bathroom products.

It was in a quiet residential area, close to the Metro. The decor was modern and very comfortable. The room was large.

The shower pan seems to slope the wrong direction, so water pools at the side opposite the drain.

We loved the room, location, and especially the bed! We found it to be one of the most comfortable beds we’ve ever slept on! The room is also very spacious and the bathroom was well appointed with a large sink, separate toilet, a shower, and a freestanding tub! We would stay here again any time we come to Amsterdam!

there is no lobby, check out was 11, our flight wasn’t till 7pm. nowhere to sit or chill after check out.

The drainage for the shower is too slow, so the floor is wet for a while after use. Wet socks! Water in the fridge, small toothpaste in the bathroom would have been nice. There’s no concierge so you’re really just left to it

It was spacious, modern and well decorated. It was clean throughout and loved the bath tub!

The stairs were a bit of a challenge but to be fair everyone is warned about this in the on-line info given by Alex.

A great place set in a quiet location with easy access to the city centre. The breakfast was excellent as was our host.

Super Stylish and comfortable, great location. Lots of room, amazing dining area. Fridge in the room To store all your goodies.. will deffo return..host says a quick hello and made sure we were happy The bathroom is massive too with great lighting and mirrors for getting ready. Stairs are very steep, but so is every other staircase in the city. not a problem for us, but maybe for less mobile folks

room was modern and clean. windows open for a great cross breeze and quiet for sleep. location was within walking distance to great shopping and restaurant/bars but far enough to get away from the crowds.

Steep stairs to get up to the room (hard to maneuver with large luggage), outlets not easy to access and use for electronics, quite a distance (approximately 30 min walk) from Dam Square. Also, because of the way the ventilation was set up, the window was open a bit to accommodate the apparatus used, which brought in street noise. Also, could clearly hear other guests talking (loudly) inside the building, at times.

Excellent communication with the host/person in charge of the reservation; lots of space in the room, very comfortable bed, big shower and bathroom area, good lighting, very cute area - close to a few shops and restaurants.

Amazing location, very easy to get to via the public transport network but also close enough to walk into town. Room is stunning and immaculate with aircon and a lovely bathroom. Will stay again

Having experienced the Commune Suite firsthand, I can confidently say that this will be my go-to accommodation whenever I find myself in Amsterdam again. The combination of a prime location, serene surroundings, spacious quarters, and a host that feels more like family makes it an unbeatable choice.
