    2 single beds

Good hotel around in the nature forest, hotel have a nice pool with a luxury spa and sauna. Room was fantastic and quick check in during night time... WiFi was good and the hotel room was comfy. The funny thing is there don’t have a king size bed in the room and only 2 single bed even you are couple.

The shower in the pool is better than the one in the room....

The staff the staff the staff. For some reason we had challenging booking(s), the people (and especially the lady who checked us in) was amazing service oriented and supportive. It didn't stop there, she arranged for us to have dinner although all was fully booked and the day after, when we set out on the amazing terrace and ordered things out of the menu, a full service was there to facilitate us - ensuring we are enjoying our stay to the last detail. And after the staff ensured that everything is great, the gym, the pool, the terrace and the rooms - all clean, accommodating and ensuring it will be a great experience we will come again :)

Gap between the single beds that had been pushed together to make double. Lack of variety for cocktails.

Old world feel, great hospitality and good location for exploring the area

What we liked most: 1. A nice welcome at the parking lot of a staff member, who came to collect our luggage 2.the possibility of an upgrade for half price 3. A lot of extra's included, like a coolingbag with goodies when we rented bikes.4. The presence of lots of white storks, which made our trip extra wonderful. 5. The quality of the food and friendlyness of the staff is just excellent.

If you have dinner at the hotel use the main restaurant; not the bistro. The bistro has excellent food, but small portions.

The staff was very helpful and efficient. They have great terraces (We had good weather) and the golf course is next door.

Excellent facilities: bar, two restaurants, swimming pool, sauna etc. The breakfast is very nice as well. There's a golf course on the property and the place is perfect for walking in nature, running etc.

Excellent restaurant. Rooms were very large and comfortable but at least in the addition, did not have any charm, compared with rest of property.

Rooms are nice and clean but perhaps a tad outdated.

Beautiful manor located in the lovely Frisian countryside, very friendly service and good breakfast with several local specialities. 2 restaurants in-house and large terrace and garden outside. Would definitely return here for a weekend!

The fitnessroom is a bit poor. Very small room. It feels strange to stay on a crosstrainer face to face to another person using the other crosstrainer.

If you want some cozy pub food, better head for the center.

Very pleased with everything. Restaurant is a 'gourmet' dining experience. Staff very nice. Nature was amazing.

Would be nice to have a water kettle in room. In double rooms they had two single beds instead of one big king size bed, might be a personal preference thing.

The décor throughout the building was quite classy, including the detached building we stayed at. If you like modern design this would not be your favourite place. I see the charm though. Room was very spacious (luxury double room) with decent ambience and l'occitane toiletries. Loved the wellness center, we went on a Sunday so it was almost empty and we had it all to ourselves :) Massage was not overpriced and of good quality (well you cannot compare to a Thai resort 5* Spa or that sort of course). The food was really good at the restaurant, above average. For a 5 course it's 70EUR but I think it was worth it. The dessert was soooo delicious. Staff (front office or restaurant) were lovely, helpful and welcoming! So used to the nearly-non-existent Dutch customer service so this hotel was a nice surprise.

They seem to take providing facilities for the disabled as a bit of a burden. The shower was over the bath and the bath was too higher step over for my mother so she could not have a shower. A Luggage trolley keeps on being put in front of the disabled lift and if you are in the lift you cannot get out because of it. I had to complain twice and I bet a bottom dollar it is back there again. Nouveau cuisine does not fill travelling customers and it is very expensive for what you get.

Quietness of the rooms and the tranquil setting of the establishment.
