The absence of a swimming pool.

The staff at Anantara Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky were super friendly and welcoming (in particular, Bahar). The buffet breakfast at The White Room was absolutely amazing. The hotel's location was perfect (Dam Square), close to everything we wanted to see and do. Getting around was super easy and convenient. We had also lunch at Grand Café Krasnapolsky and the food was absolutely delicious. Our room was comfortable and well-furnished (maybe a bit small) with top-notch amenities.

It’s hard to summarize how perfect this hotel was for our first visit to Amsterdam! Truly fantastic location (and walkable from train station!) Our room had a charming view over a small street and was so comfortable. Very luxurious sheets, pillows etc. The hotel itself was impeccable - lovely restaurant, bar, and lobby. The staff impressed me with their knowledge and friendly advice. They were able to check us in early at no charge and made every effort to make our visit comfortable, effortlessly switching to perfect English. They made several recommendations for dining and logistics for our departure. Spa was beautiful and relaxing - such a great way to unwind after traveling!! Fabulous in every way!

Didnt like our first room as it was for a person with disability and also the view was awful. Did change rooms and the room was better but again poor view. All the different lifts around the hotel and also the fact that you could only walk down to the 1st floor from the 4th floor and then had to take a lift. You also could not walk up the stairs from the ground. I assume this is for security reasons?

We had a small issue at breakfast but I'm pleased to confirm that this matter was dealt with immediately.

I am fortunate to have stayed in many luxurious hotels, but I have to admit that the quality of staff was beyond doubt exceptional at the krasnapolsky. I would also like to mention the quality of the bathroom fittings, as no expense has been spared . I very much look forward to staying at the Krasnapolsky on my next visit to Amsterdam.

The property is close to a restaurant or bar that stays open until late. Although all the windows have been upgraded, some noise may still penetrate. This could pose a problem for those who are light sleepers. However, this might primarily be a concern if your room faces the Dam which overlooks the plaza where the bars are situated.

Amazing Breakfast Experience. Situated at the same location as their premier dining establishment, "The White Room," the breakfast selection surpassed our expectations. Our room featured a stunning view that truly impressed us. Additionally, the location was outstanding, being in close proximity to numerous significant historical sites, all of which were within walking distance.

The hotel is beautiful and the staff was amazing! Breakfast at the hotel was amazing! The room is stunning and food was plentiful. Great selection with on premise freshly sliced cured meats, various breads, waffles, cheeses, to order omelet station, fruits, jams and even a chocolate fountain! The wait staff were all amazing and on point. Room is comfortable with very comfy bed and very quiet. We never heard a single sound or voice from the outside. Location is impeccable. You literally can’t beat it. It was our first time in Amsterdam and if we returned again this is where we would stay, hands down.

In general, the room I upgraded to from the grand premium included all the amenities one would expect. Although I opted for a room on the top floor with a balcony, I'm uncertain if the difference would have been significant, given that hotels in the center of Amsterdam tend to have relatively small rooms.
