The room to room sound damping is inadequate if there are noisy neighbours. The reception area is really nice, but super noisy, like a loud bar. Can’t have a conversation there. Takes away from the otherwise excellent setting.

We are returning visitors for decades and select Novotel over it’s near competitors: predictable quality of service, friendly helpful staff. Clean room, bathroom. Good room layout. Could use a couple more outlets for chargers ect.

Sofa beds need an upgrade, the one in our room was not comfortable. The super was good but very pricey in comparison to similar star hotels.

A good base to explore Holland. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful.

I have never been on a hotel with that inkompetent crew behind the front desk. for info i have about 170 hotel nights / year We have even got correct receipt for the stay jet, 3 weeks after check out. One morning Crew behind front desk was sleeping, and hotel room card was not working... had to find personnel from the kitchen to looks for the front desk personal.

The food in the restaurant was not very good.

The hotel is in a good location if cycling to Hoek van Holland for the ferry. The rooms were clean and good.

- Check in took quite long, the gentleman responsible was not yet fully trained apparently?* Having to wait that long with 2 tired minors, after over 6 hours travelling isn't great. - The sleeping couch has some nasty gaps and metal rails right at the side - which one could easily get stuck in, whilst getting in or out of bed. I "fixed" it by stuffing a pillow into the gap, so both the metal rails were covered and most of the gap was filled. - The sheet on the sleeping couch must have been there for ages, wrinkled as it was. I suppose there is a decent cover over it, when in use as a couch, but I do not want to think too deeply about people having sat on this couch and passing gas (to put it nicely). I'd like to propose using clean sheets, when it will be used as a bed, instead of leaving the old sheet on. - The hair dryer might need some thorough cleaning - some unpleasant looking grey stuff around the connection - Hotel surroundings (Next to the entrance, bushes around the parking lots) might need some regular cleaning / inspection, apparantly some guests are unable to use a waste bin or ashtray correctly, leaving a bit of an untidy impression. * The night after I saw the same happening again: a rather long queue of people (partially with small kids) waiting to check in.

State and quality of the rooms is well up to par. The hotel as such is near the highway and not too far from the city center (roughly 2km). There is a tiny "shop" right next to the reception, with drinks and snacks, with quite a variety too.

There weren’t enough outlets in the room.

It was very clean. My request for a baby cot was met and nicely set it. At hotels, it is sometimes ignored. We loved the playground and pool.

Very convenient location to motorways & had everything we needed including a nice dinner with vegetables which we had been missing. It was a cloudy day so we didn’t swim but kids were. Could securely open window.

Internally, as we approached our room on the second floor, getting out of the lift, you could smell the carpet. It was heavily stained in places, and several trays lay outside people's doors. When we got to our room, a very poor repair had been done....there were about 10 screws around the lock area indicating that entry had been gained forcibly at some point..

Facilities were great with the outside pool and modern gym equipment. Can't fault the breakfast as a massive choice and catering staff were very hard working at busy oeriod.

The pool could use better cleaning/maintenance. Tip: when staff is new, ensure training and guidance its provided to avoid any inconvenience for the property or guests

Staff at reception are not friendly, very robotic. The room for 4 people was tiny. Coffee Creamer was expired but we were given a mug of milk when asked.

Nice small play area for children. Good shower and comfortable bedding.

The kettle in the room was dirty, it needs cleaning, there was no water bottles in the rooms during my whole stay, and when asked the reception about it they told me tap water is drinkable, i do respect this, but in all my travels all hotels had water bottles in the rooms, so I had to buy water from the supermarket and bring it with me, Also there was no express laundry/ironing service avaible, and when I requested an Iron to iron my cloth i received an ordinary iron instead of steam iron, it was hard to iron linen clothes, I think they should have steam iron like most hotels.

The Rooms are clean, and the parking lot was nice, the hotel is family friendly with indoor place space and outdoor play ground, also some tables in the lobby in case you got food from outside and doesn't want to eat in the room.

The availability of the room service in the evening was poor ..it was not instructed on the website that we can't get room service at night and we needed extra things for the kids and that was not POS .then it was told to us that we.needed to put it in the remarks on the Web site wich we didn't see anywhere when we were booking

Overpriced bar food meant always empty. 20 euros for a burger...poor guy working in bar looked very bored... Not enough pillows for 4 sleeping in room. Ripped bed sheets and broken sofa bed. Overpriced snacks avail to buy.. 4.5 euros for a can of coke...why?! No shop nearby and surrounding area seemed kinda dodgy...needed to drive tp get anywhere. Only one person on check in ona Saturday afternoon with good hour wait for many families.

Housekeeping staff very nice and helpful. Receptionist very pleasant although on her own with long wait to check in. Handy to get to nearby towns...delft, hook of holland, the hague.... Just off the motorway
