To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

ItalyThe direction of tram 4 and 7, which both stop in close proximity of the hotel was unclear to me. Very old (and "cracking") elevator.
Conveniently located close (15 min walk/4 minutes by tram) to train station (I had to take the EuroStar early in the morning. Typical business hotel, but nothing wrong with that. Friendly staff, clean rooms and comfortable bed. didnt have breakfast because of early departure.

TurkeyThe cleanliness was poor. The towels were changed in the bathroom, but shampoo and shower gel were not provided. The room was also dusty. And besides Mr. Mark, the staff at the reception were very unfriendly and unhelpful. I went to buy shampoo in my pajamas at midnight. I asked for housekeeping to be warned, but they didn't take it seriously.

LatviaIt's interesting, that we should pay - property service charge (€ 3.75 × 1 guest × nights) and have to pay a deposit of 100 euros. In my case, the wake-up call did not work. Poor pressure and temperature control in the shower - it's good that there was a bath.
The room is quite spacious, clean. Good location - 10 minutes from the train station and many attractions and restaurants within reach, but you have to walk a bit to the Markthal, but the metro is almost at the door. The service is good - you can see that the staff are trying very hard. I was lucky and got a room already after 10:00.

A decently priced hotel with a great location. Friendly staff and a nice view in the tower room. Coffee machine in the room and a pleasant shower, I enjoyed my stay.

I had driven into Rotterdam from the ferry and was worried about parking. I needn't have, and was able to find and access the hotel car park easily. The staff were so friendly, and my room was super comfortable. Breakfast before check out was also very well made and set out with a lot of choice. I will stay there again for sure.
