Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

Hotel is in center of Amsterdami DAM Square, =~ 20 steps from door. Breakfast is as written and delicious with enough wariety. There is no signature item but nice coffee in the morning. United KingdomAlthough 3*, it is quite basic. You are definitely paying for the location and not the amenities but some things could easily be rectified: 1. A Smart T.V. in the rooms would allow you to cast Netflix or Prime for better viewing on a cold and rainy day. 2. Tea & Coffee in the rooms would be great to have. This is available free from a machine in the foyer from midday but it's not the same as having it available in the room. 3. The WiFi is terrible - I had to stick with roaming as the signal was so dire it just wasn't worth signing into
Location - just a brilliant location that is perfect for walking everywhere or, if you prefer, getting a tram instead. The rooms were clean with towels and toiletries changed every day and all the staff were friendly and helpful.

United StatesAs a senior, I was not able to shower because of the very large step up into the bathtub to shower and I did not want to risk falling, when wet, and having a big step down.
I liked the large size of the room and the beds were comfortable. The breakfast was excellent and the lobby was beautiful.

United StatesDark in the room. All lamps in upper bedroom were controlled by downstairs front door switch which turned all on. So, couldn't have 1 bedroom light on with out other on. 1 big light didn't work. Entry was always smoky with cigarette and marijuana smoke when you came inside. At first, they limited elevator times. But then, was opened all the time.
Breakfast was wonderful. Even provide gluten free bread. Very good selection. The ladies that worked the kitchen/dining and the cleaning ladies were really great. Kept our room supplied with towels, etc. Location couldn't be better, within a block of Dam Square. Free cappuccino, espresso from noon to night! Wonderful! Lobby big and lots of seating.

Aammmazzzinng location! You don't need to get full day bus/metro cards, you can just walk a little and you will find every tourist attractions nearby locations! Staff were really nice and friendly, and helpful too in terms of directions. Also loved the free coffee machine right at the reception, it was perfect during the winter season :)
