Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThe hostel is huge, so if you’re traveling solo it’s a bit difficult to meet people, i saw a lot of big groups of young students traveling together. Also, as they provide breakfast and they have a café/restaurant, i believe it’s not possible to store your food in the fridge or cook/heat your food in case you buy it in the supermarket.
The hostel is very clean and organized. The beds are comfortable too. Although it’s a bit far from the city center (20min by bus/tram), it’s well connected and it’s close to a lot of supermarkets, local bars and restaurants.

United KingdomI paid for a private room, paid around 90 euros. The least they can do is include towels in that price! Feels a bit of a rip off, but it is Amsterdam after all... Could also be a bit cleaner.
Staff is friendly, hostel is in a nice location and it's by a few different tram stops which is helpful.

United KingdomPersonally the location is a little far out (oost) but I guess this is more down to being my fault when booking. Quietish area which meant we spent a small fortune on taxi cabs to get back from central after one too many beers 🍻.
Very nice and clean hostel with a nice relax area for coffee and a bar with live DJ Comfortable mattress and large shower area with separate toilet room in a 6 bed dorm

Staff upgraded me from a mixed dorm to a 4-bed female dorm, making me feel more comfortable, as i was travelling alone.

NetherlandsThe sound proof is not ideal. I can hear clearly people talks and steps from the corridor, as well as the sound from the room right above. If you are sensitive to noise, I would recommend to use ear plugs.
Clean room, very welcoming and helpful staffs. The location is super. Very convenient and easy to get to almost anywhere.

United KingdomThere was always loud music, even at breakfast (8am). Would have been better a little quieter at this time, especially. Soft drinks were pretty expensive. In the room my pillow was too big and no thinner alternatives. Wasn't sure how clean the bedding was - I know the linen is fresh but I didn't see anyone changing the bedding and I stayed there 5x nights so it made me think about who had been in there before me. Toilet has no fan and a gap under the door- everyone can hear you in there and when you open the door, they can smell everything too. No vegan breakfast options or bar food. Bottled water super expensive, only 1x tap downstairs to fill water bottle (not sure if you can use your bathroom sink tap?) However, the water made my water bottle smell damp and I stopped using it. Would be nice to get free tea/ coffee all day. I was up at 6.30am but no breakfast until 8am. Would have been lovely to sit outside with a coffee and get some fresh air instead of having to wait.
The bar staff were very friendly. The place was in a lovely quiet part of town so it felt safe. The room was a decent size (8 mixed dorm). Beds well spaced. Private shower room, always hot and powerful and separate toilet. Lockers provided. Reception area and bar area are light and airy, well decorated and I loved the sustainable aspect. Good atmosphere and the food served at the bar was really good. They do the best fresh herbal tea - with slices of ginger or mint leaves. Good price for a night, breakfast over priced for what it was. Tram into central Amsterdam is just around the corner. Or a 40 minute walk takes you through some beautiful scenery and is an easy route to town.

SpainThe lockers for the suitcases are very small. So if you bring a suitcase with wheels you will have to leave it outside the locker, it is advisable to have a padlock, my suitcase has a lock with a key, I left it outside two nights and nothing happened.
Everything was great. Recommended, there is a very safe and entertaining roll. The breakfast is not very expensive and is fine.

Czech RepublicLocation is a little far from center cca 5 km from Zoo, not comfortable for biker cause many crossroads around and huge traffic. Hostels is popular and mostly pretty full and it's problem find place for coffee, also in do big space. I was there twice and second time was receptionist a little sad and not so positive, also in the bar I was received second time cappuccino without biscuit 🍪...it's detail but ... also beds should have small curtain for emotionally barrier...
Here is it 9 or 10. Hard to say. This hostel should be in book or in encyklopedy underneath a term "good hostel" ... I think there is no errors, also care about handicapped people. Never seen in bathroom in room so many equipment in hostel for all nationality, religions, people handicapped etc. Big room with high ceilings cca 8 mètres high, old cocoa factory probably. Unusual lobby and restaurant cause it's connected with cinema and clubs with other part of building, good view on busy street from big windows. Very good natural light inside room, nice clean corridors...hard to say how looks breakfast etc. But very good Bavaria beer, coffee, pastry and nice big comfortable space. Very big and modern hostel. Close bike rent cca 20 mètres. Shops are also close Lidl and Albert.

PortugalAt check in there was somone new working and unfortunately they gave us a different room from what was booked. Our check in was delayed because of this, nevertheless a couple of hours later the problem was solved. We also purchased a Buffet dinner total of €90 (3 adults + 2 teens), which was simply horrendous. The food was tasteless and the quality very, very poor. Would recommend checking the food before buying. We also spoke to the manager to give them some feedback and were told " Yeah, sorry it didn't meet your expectations!" Not the best customer service in my opinion.
Family rooms are good size, common areas are nice and lively, good for families travelling with kids. Breakfast was also good for the price!
