    Everything was great!

The place it self was amazing sight! The distance to the beach was great and the surrounding park was beautiful! Wish we had more time and will have to come back!

A real castle with a moat and 'drawbridge ' ,what's not to like. We were pedalling and finding the castle in a wood on the route could not have been better.

Breakfast time was too short (8:00-9:30) so everybody comes at the same time which made it too busy.

Great location, nice beds, beautiful surroundings and a big room!

The services and the cleanliness could be better: The staff is not rude but not very friendly and not very helpful either. We found sand in our beds.

The location is fantastic. A castle in an amazing natural reserve with gardens and parcs, close to the sea, no cars, no noise. Excellent for families with kids.

There was a sign in the shower telling to be careful with the waste of water and stuff. There was not much water coming off the shower so in the end it took me actually more water to shower. It was also very noisy and the breakfast tables were very dirty actually. The price was a little higher than in other Hostels for that kind of dorm and interior but due to the fact it was on the weekend during holidays, it was okay.

The castle is very beautiful and nice to look at. The bike rental is 10€ a day, so that’s good. It’s very close to the beach and also close to Domburg. It was very clean and the beds were comfortable. The breakfast was good except for the coffee which was aweful!

Excellent budget option at a picturesque location

The rooms were a bit cold so I had to turn on the heating, which was making some noise. Was not a problem for me but might annoy people who might have trouble falling asleep, during the colder seasons.

The location is amazing and compared to average prices in The Netherlands, this hostel is definitely a bargain. The ground floor has a cozy bar, the staff was kind and the breakfast was simple but tasty.

A Fantastic location in historic Castle. We stayed in a tower family-room, great experience. Good breakfast, enclosed garden for outdoor breakfast. Ideally located 10 min walk from both village and beach. Highly recommended for those who don't mind the hostel type facilities, clean.

Perfect stay for solo/young travelers to enjoy the beach/coastline in Zeeland
    • Leisure trip
    • Solo traveller
    • Bed in 8-Bed Mixed Dormitory Room

It became a bit hot at night in summer and I was sweating due to the mattress and the pillow were covered in latex type of material.

The location is just perfect, there is a car park with reasonable prices, the forest, the access to the beach and the restaurants, all in the vicinity. You can also hire a bike and enjoy the ride through the dunes and the coastline. And the building itself is just wow, a castle. Dorms are very simple but you wont spend that much time in the room anyway. There is nice cafe also in the hostel, with nice outside terrace.

An unimaginative use of such a lovely location! Keep it affordable but spend a little time on the details especially when renting private rooms. We spent 120euro/night for a family room since we have 2 small kids (cheap but not free). The bunk beds had private lights and after that there was only one overhead light. Once the kids were asleep we only had the light of the shower room. I would expect at LEAST a chair for each member of the room (we only had 2) and a lamp for the poor parents! Otherwise the room is just a bed.

The location is amazing and wasn't expecting that much as it is a hostel, but still...they lack imagination in their approach. Not need to spend money just be smarter.

The beds are terrible. The shower was backed up and nasty. The rooms remind me of a prison cell. Really bad. It really is an overpriced hostel. For the rate charged the facilities should be much better. At best, this is a novelty stopover on a bike ride through the country.

The grounds and the mystic nature of the castle is really beautiful. Sitting outside at night is really cozy. The Terra Museum next door has some excellent child programs.
