In shared dorm room there is zero privacy. Some modern hostels do this better with sleep pods instead of bunk beds.

Reception was not very good. Every time I needed reception services, no one was there, and the baristas from the cafe would call someone. My check-in time was around 3 pm on a thursday and I waited for about 40 minutes before someone showed up, and they were not the recepcionist, it was only for check in/out, nothing else. They need to put out information in English about the rooms breakfast and how the hostel works, everything was in Dutch.

Breakfast was excellent! The place is definitely a summer destination, for couples or families with kids. Lots of outdoor activities like hiking trails, biking, and bird-watching. I saw two cute little donkeys. Not ideal for international solo travelers in winter. Everyone speaks a little bit of English, but mostly Dutch.

Rooms felt a little dated and facilities were sparse - no individual lamps near beds and only one power outlet for the whole room. Certainly not ideal.

Friendly staff, clean facilities, lovely surrounding area (great for hiking or cycling) and VERY good complimentary breakfast!

No soap in the soap dispenser in the room. Room could have used some central heating.

Staff, especially in the main house were very kind and accommodating. Food, including all inclusive breakfasts were delicious and plentiful and healthy. Great atmosphere and staff.

Might need a new showerhead. More of a jet of hot water rather than a shower. Location a bit remote for me. That's about it for the negatives.

Arrived late but got checked in and into the restaurant for some beautiful food. Quiet rooms. Good sleep. Nice staff.

Mosquito bites every night because we had to open the windows for cooling and there were no bug screens on them.

It’s surrendered by a lot of nature. I walked from stayokay Utrecht centrum (that’s a hostel I do not recommend to anyone) to Utrecht Bunnik and the walk to the hostel was really enjoyable. It took about 1 hour and 10 minutes but it was really worthy. The beds are in better shape than the ones in Utrecht central, roommates were also nicer, staff also very helpful and polite and the breakfast was also decent. It’s definitely a nice place to visit. Thank you.

We stayed in a shared room and it could have been cleaner. The bathroomed smelled a bit and some people in the room didn't use the sheets.

The best thing about the accommodation was the location. The greenery and quiet was absolutely amazing and having breakfast outside was also great!

Location was great, really quiet with both windows opened. Staff were super friendly. Okay breakfast, had vegan options, good coffee and an amazing potato salad.

Unfortunately no bio fruit or vegetables (cf Humus kikkererwten) which are better for the kids and adults than Nutela, etc.

There is no sign stayokay hostel at the reception.So I didn't find it straight away. There isn't a common room the rest is really good. I will come back some time.

It is a really nice location. Close to Utrecht. You get a lot for not so much. Also breakfast is really good.
