Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomCan be noisy at weekends (noise cancelling headphones totally overcame this problem). Limited room space. Steep stairs could be a problem for some. Late breakfast start (8.45) won't suit everyone. Well designed compact rooms above a coffee shop - not a 'hotel' as some might require.
Really friendly, helpful staff. Just 15 mim walk from station. Tram and metro stops nearby. Comfortable bed. Excellent shower. Good value accommodation.

PortugalThe toilet was not fully see through but also not opaque enough. As a travelling group we could see each other showering and using the toilet.
The room was very comfortable and had everything needed. Some power sockets did not work. However, the overall experience was pleasant.

ItalyI wouldn’t recommend this structure to anyone with mobility issues as there is no elevator, and the window sill was a bit dirty. Other than this, no issues!
We had a great time in this hotel, the room was very cozy (it was clearly very small, but we liked it) and the location is perfect to explore the city.

BelgiumDue to its location, it is quite noisy as there are many bars close. Bathroom design could be better, as placing shower and toilet so close means there is no way to go to the toilet after you shower without wetting your feet.
Super convenient location, room is small, but perfect for a short stay.

United KingdomWhere do I start? Hhmm.. 1.Stairway to heaven - the lift is not operating to "minimise our carbon footprint". The stairs are steep and narrow- it's not for your weak and cracking knees. The staircase is also not well lit, pray as you go up and down- not for visually impaired. Quite difficult with luggages- it's even easier to throw or roll them down the steps. A fire pole or a slide would make it easier coming down. 2. Bad ROOMance -Room is compact - ergonomics is poor. (Only speaking for 103 and 102) i was blown away by the lay out of the toilet where the shower comes first before the toilet. The toilet ends up getting drenched as you shower-leaving it with so much puddle of water. As you shower, it floods out your shower door where you have to use your towels (they are quite generous providing these though) to dry it up. -Privacy (not so private 🫣) : Great if you are solo or travelling with partner. The shower walls are quite see through. Can see, can hear every business you make. -No cupboards or shelves for clothes. -TV not working. No Netflix/local or cable tv programs as mentioned. 3. Have a NOISE day! -it's a busy street and full of life at night. Didn't bother me much though and it quiet downs shortly after midnight.
1.Location- highly accessible to transportation ( tram 8 from Rotterdam Centrale to Museum Park) Metro is 5mins walk) Great for social butterflies and enthusiastic walkathoners. *cafe downstairs, strip of restaurants and cafes. Supermarket nearby is 3mins walk. *10mins walk to Beurs. 2. Friendly staff. 3. Compact room layout. (Room 103 &102) would suit a solo traveller. 4. Reasonable price if you are not fussy. 5. Plenty of plugs and sockets 6. Easy check in and out.

United KingdomThere wasn't much surface space to place my toiletries/makeup bag so when getting ready I had to put lots of my stuff on the floor which was a little inconvenient. It is located in a very central location with many bars. It wasn't a really negative for me as I sleep well regardless but it gets very noisy at night.
The location was amazing. We didn't do too much research beforehand and found out that it was hub for good food and coffee ! The check in and check out was simple and convenient. The hotel room itself is very comfortable. Note: Wasn't a negative note for me but might be for other people, the stairs up to the rooms is very steep and small. Would be very inconvenient for people with large luggage. Also the entrance to the hotel is very small so you'll need to really look out for "The Bellhop" sign when walking down the street.

United KingdomThe stairs lol. They were very tight and narrow and steep and were a little difficult to navigate going up. Coming down was ok. But don't let the stairs put you off lol.
The staff were really nice and helpful. The facilities were ok, only problem you had to walk through the shower to get to the toilet. Room has loads of plug sockets to use. We had food in the morning we left and t was amazing. The location was great and had everything you needed.

United KingdomThe stairs up to the room were quite daunting with luggage even as a relatively fit person (!). We didn’t like that you had to step over the shower tray to manoeuvre into the toilet. We stayed on a Saturday night so bars downstairs were quite loud until early hours of the morning

GermanyThey have to clean the rooms better. With such small rooms, and the shower/toilet concept, it really has to be spotless. Dust on the ceiling lamp and the shower showing sign of age is not good the price considering.

United KingdomCheck-in email arrived late to get into the room, this meant I was stood outside waiting for 18 mins to get the email to activate my room key on my phone. The room was not cleaned once on the 3 nights I was there, no change of bedding, towels or even the bin emptied. The shower leaked onto the floor of the bedroom space. The check out process is a little strange, you do it on your mobile phone and it asks you to take a room key to a reception. I didn't have a room key or know there was a reception. It is on the main party strip so expect it to be loud.
Very laid back as you come-and-go as you want to. The room is reasonably modern looking. Very functional space, good number of plug sockets around the rooms. Bathroom is decently sized.

ItalyStaircase can be very steep and challenging for older people or small children.
Great location, very cozy room with minimal but stylish finishings. Great toiletries (Marie Stella Maris) and very confortable bed. Given the location, it was sufficiently quiet (we were at the first floor). The self-checkin app works very well, although it may be tricky the first time.
