Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

NetherlandsThe bathroom was ok, though not exceltional - one of the drains was going very slow though
room was excellently large, I could take my (race) bike inside. The attached restaurant and pub were nice. If you want to join a tour to go on foot to the tidal flats: do it, very nice experience to be between land, sea and sky

ItalyThe room has 2 separate beds and the shower has some black mold on the tiles. The bathroom should be a bit more clean.
You can use the spa, that is pretty good furnished and really clean. Rich and with good variety of sweet and savory buffet breakfast . Spa and breakfast included in the room price.

NetherlandsThe bed was two singles put together so in the night if you turn too much to the middle, the beds move and you drop right in the middle. But they were comfy
Right in the middle of everything. Clean, good service. Loved the sauna even on that hot day we were there.

NetherlandsHowever, the bar stayed open quite late and there was a loud group that made it hard to get to sleep. was a little frustrating with an early morning hike ahead but this was also Friday night so not fully unexpected. The walls are also quite thin, so noise carries easily between rooms.
Stayed here to kick off the Pieterpad hike, and the location couldn't be better for that as it's right at the starting point. The staff were friendly, and I also appreciated the breakfast package they provided for the early star (plentiful!)

NetherlandsOne of the saunas didn't work properly in the evening. I chose this accommodation based on the spa facilities. It was a bit unclear how they should be operated. Staff is in another building so it is not so handy to go back and forth. It worked in the morning for a while but then cooled down again quickly. Different diets (vegetarian, vegan) could be better considered in the restaurant menu and breakfast.
The room was very nice and clean, check in was easy. A welcome drink is a great addition!

United KingdomThe path to the door to the upstairs rooms goes behind the hotel and was a bit dirty. It needs a good clean.
An interesting hotel that needs a little facelift but is really good value. The reception and carpark are not right beside the rooms. The bedroom was large and spacious with comfortable beds. A bit basic but fine for one night. The bathroom shower in my room could have done with a screen as the floor beside gets very wet. The restaurant across the road (theirs) serves good food and has ample seating. Breakfast that was served there was adequate.

NetherlandsIt’s a little outdated.
Excellent location right across the Pieterpad and dog friendly. My pooch was welcomed even in the restaurant. The food from the restaurant was very good. There is a electric car charging station across from the hotel.

BelgiumMost of it was perfect. Bad score is mainly because we arrived by bicycle 20 minutes before check in time. While the room was of course ready, we still had to wait till 3pm sharp to get the key. Pure stupidity and a lack of empathy.

United StatesFelt like many of the amenities were rather embellished i.e. the wardrobe/closet was 4 hooks on the wall with one hanger on each. The large infrared sauna and the Finnish sauna were not functioning correctly. Terrible lighting in the room. When we arrived the adjoining room was open to our room. We did have the key to lock it on our key ring. It was a single door so not certain if the neighbor also had the key, this made us uncomfortable during our stay. Prices in the Cafe seemed overly high. We drove 5 miles and ate and drank for about half the price.
Breakfast was good. Facilities in Spa that worked were good.

NetherlandsThere was no water boiler in the room, nor a fridge to keep things cool. We used the room as a starting point for walking the Pieterpad so those two things would have been convenient.
The room was clean, the price was good.

NetherlandsWe had dinner and breakfast at the restaurant of the hotel and the quality of the food can be improved.
The place is simple but nice. We got a spacious apartment, perfect for us since we were traveling with our dog. The seal rescue center is very close and there are other activities to do in the area. The village is quiet and we had a good night sleep in complete silence. Free parking was greatly appreciated.

IndiaThe reception was only open until 18. They have a restaurant but the food there is not good. Also, while checking in, they gave us a card that should provide us a free welcome drink. We thought that was nice, but later we got a bill (although we explicitly asked if the drink we were ordering was included in the card that they provided and the waitress agreed to it) but later she expressed that she didn't understand. Overall, the card was of no use. We had to pay for the drinks anyway. This should have been clearer. Overall, we were very dissatisfied with the food quality and the mismatch that happened. Also, costs were on the pricey side.
The rooms were clean and spacious. Additionally, We could also use the Turkish sauna, steam baths and massage chair services as part of the booking. Which was the plus point. Definitely worth the cost.
