Staff in general was very kind however supervisor was not willing to make any changes even though it was a medical emergency. So unfortunate that a hotel with this reputation doesn’t even consider particular situations.

Location and the views from the tower. Beautiful sunset. Facilities and rooms are clean and tidy. Half board is a fair option.

We had disembarked from a cruise ship & couldn’t check in until 3pm. We were asked to pay for an early check in of 300NOK @ 1pm even though the room was ready. This has never happened to us before.

It was central & provided breakfast & dinner.

Very good breakfast. Comfortable room. Parking was easy if you make a reservation when booking the room (I did that months before). In order to see the views from the tower you have to ask at reception for the key.

That dinner was included was a huge plus for us and the dining staff and other staff were fantastic, and really willing to fit in with our needs.

There was no parking available upon arrival despite being advertised. The 5 parking spaces (for a large hotel, that's nothing) were all taken when I arrived and there was zero communication on booking.com about that fact that there are only 5 spaces available which need to be reserved il advance. Also, there is no sign that marks the hotel entrance. Very strange. Yes, it's a historic hotel but so are many others that manage to make their entrance visible to the customer. It's enough to put up a standing sign outside next to the entrance

The location is unbeatable. My twin room had a harbour view. The room space was more than ample. Absolutely quiet at night. Comfortable beds. Breakfast buffet had a wide spread. The hotel building structure was classic and impressive.

Booking.com didnt pass the info to the hotel re twin bed booking. It was not fault of the hotel but Booking.com. As a consequence one of us had to sleep on the portable bed.

Our room faced the inside square of the hotel which was very loud. There was a party going on until very late that reverberated up through that area. It was too warm out to close the windows, so it was not a restful night for us.

Its a beautiful hotel and the staff is very helpful and friendly. Very close to everything and we walked everywhere.

We loved everything about the hotel but would have enjoyed an nespresso style coffee maker in the room.

The hotel is in a great location. We had a room with a lovely water view. The lobby is large with many attractive seating arrangements and a fireplace. Bergen gets a lot of rain/wind so it was very nice to be able to eat at the hotel’s included dinner.

Elevators slow.

Wonderful amenities! Breakfast, snack and dinner provided was generous, healthy and delicious. Sauna was a fun family activity to warm up after a day hike or out in the rain. Would recommend for families.

Perfectly located traditional grand stone building in the harbor, next to the historic wooden houses of Bryggen. The staff were friendly and very helpful.
