The wifi strength varied, but our room was very far from the router. The food was good, but expensive for the offerings.

The staff was so helpful and recommended a hike that was not touristy to beautiful summer farms and a man-made lake that her father had made with a cabin. It was stunning and one of our favorite experinces from traveling through Norway. Thank you so much for the wonderful stay!

Breakfast was simple and with not that big choice of items.

Hotel is located in a quiet village near geiranger fjord. Friendly welcome from the owner. The village doesn't have much to offer in terms of food for dinner unfortunately.

The bathroom was a little small. The nightly rate seemed high considering it was the off-season, but maybe it was because we booked late.

We were the only guests as it was off-season and the staff treated us like royalty. They made us dinner even though the restaurant was closed. They also offered a generous and tasty breakfast. We enjoyed going to a place that wasn't just a run-of-the-mill hotel. The kids loved the room because it had a homey feel. Everything was clean and the beds comfortable. Our hostess was a local who was knowledgeable about the area.

Wonderful Hostel. We loved the size of the room and the friendliness of the staff. Breakfast was nice too. There is a fish restaurant in the hostel (prices rather expensive) and a café where we ate a delicious pasta/chicken salad. In the village you can find a grocery store, gas station, a pizza place. It is only 4 km from the ferry to geiranger and about 40 minutes away from Trollstigen Road. We really liked the view at the beach.

Internet was quite patchy in the rooms. It worked better near the reception area but only found this out the morning I was leaving.

Breakfast was tasty and adequate. Rooms were clean and comfortable. The garden area provided a lovely area for relaxation. Location was excellent being only 2 minutes walk to the main thoroughfare providing a lovely quite space to wind down for the day. Would stay here again.

Breakfast was pretty basic, but the price of the hotel was a great price.

You could tell that this is a family run hotel. Everything about it is very quaint and the staff are so nice. There is a bar on the property with many of the locals attending which was fun for us to talk to. My family was only there one night, but it would have been nice to do some sports activities in the area. The outdoor gardens with waterfall were a nice touch. The lake in Valldal looked beautiful. Would definitely stay here again, especially for the price.

The staff at this hotel is very friendly. When we stayed, I had called in advance to get advice on traveling there due to the opening of certain roads from winter, and the staff was very helpful. On site, we were the only ones staying in the hotel (we were just a few days before the "season" starts) and the staff was very accommodating towards us as far as scheduling dinner and breakfast. Woman who owns the place is very friendly and spent a lot of time speaking to us about local customs and culture, which was very nice to have. A good location if you're looking to be between the Trollstigen and Geiranger.

The hotel was located in a beautiful area with wonderful views of snow capped mountains and fjord. Geiranger the king of the Norwegian fjords was nearby and the famous Trollstiggen Road. There were wonderful walks. The hotel staff were very polite and helpful. Food was excellent - plenty of choice for breakfast - herrings, smoked salmon, poached salmon, eggs, cereals, hams, salamis and home made jams.

The beds are extremely soft - particularly bad for a person with a bad back! Had to pull the bedding onto the floor to be able to sleep. Very poor ventilation in the room despite the large windows. Very hot and stuffy.

The location is very convenient for a trip to both Trollstigen as well as a round trip to Geiranger. There is a small garden where children can play. Short walk to the fjord and great views.

Price is quite high, even in low season.

We travelled in low season (April), which means that hotels in the further fjords are very quiet. The hotel consisting of several wooden houses is located near the fjord, in the village centre. The room was clean and tidy. Dinner and breakfast are traditional Norwegian (fried fish, buffet).
