Very pleasant accommodation with a cozy lounge area. Tastefully decorated. A quiet and relaxing stay. We appreciated the kitchen area with the option to make coffee. Self-check-in was very convenient for late arrivals. Ideal location for exploring the Lofoten Islands.

We had a truly unforgettable stay at Hemmingodden Lodge in Ballstad. Our cabin on the water was simply wonderful – cozy, spacious, and with stunning views right outside the window. In the evening, we enjoyed an exceptional dinner at HEIM, which was one of the culinary highlights of our trip. We also took part in a boat trip organized by the lodge and had the incredible experience of watching sea eagles catch fish just a few meters away – absolutely magical! Ballstad itself is a gem: perfectly located to explore the Lofoten Islands, yet away from the crowds of mass tourism. It has an authentic Norwegian character and offers peace, nature, and breathtaking scenery all around. I highly recommend Hemmingodden Lodge to anyone looking for an authentic and memorable stay in Lofoten. We would love to return!

The location is besides a shipyard, some other locations in Ballstad have more charme. We suggest not buy the breakfast package: too expensive compared to what is offered

No aircon, the fan was not sufficient and the lodge got really hot

The kitchen is too basic, one hot plate would have done wonders. We stayed for a week so cleaning became an issue. Cleaning is paid extra, which is fine, but there are no cleaning supplies to do it yourself, not even a small dustpan and brush set.

Great views of Ballstad harbour and mountains, good facilities, central location in Lofoten very good for sightseeing both eastern and western parts of the islands.

The stairs up to the bed are extremely steep and were super annoying to get up and down / dangerous. Shower flooded quite badly twice, staff were quick to fix it but based off the previous reviews it happens quite a bit. Room was a bit poorly designed, nowhere to put bags. Chopping boards and cutlery provided but no cooking equipment to use it with. A hot plate or toaster or mini oven would have been good. There was no toiletries provided, body wash or shampoo would have been good. The sauna was also an additional cost and no info on how to book it. No local recommendations. For how expensive this accom was, I expected better. Not sure I would recommend this place

Steep staircase. As a dog owner, a possible gate upstairs would have been nice.

Not having basic toiletries in the bathroom. Stairs to the sleep area were very steep and narrow, making it very difficult to go up and down at night for toilet visits. It would have been very useful if a detailed description of available leisure activities were available .

The cabin is superb in a great location. The Joker supermarket was very close . The parking was free and space was not an issue.

We had a nice view towards the water, probably the best one. Nicely built cabins, very cosy. Very nice location/neighbourhood. Good position within Leknes area for visiting. Close to supermarket.

Very cozy. Dark enough area that we were able to see the lights right there. Close enough to Leknes that it was an easy drive to go out to eat.

There was no staff at the lodge. And I didn’t receive responses to messages on the app. They did give me a number, but I’m traveling internationally and unable to make calls!
