Lovely to wake up to a view of the fjord! Staff were also really nice and had a great recommendation of a boat trip to Vik. Handy location for getting the ferry to Bergen on our next morning and would be just as convenient going in the opposite direction.

Room was clean and looked to have been recently painted/renovated. Restaurant on site has a nice view of the fjord and food was delicious and plentiful. Great location for catching the ferry.

The buffet breakfast was adequate but pretty basic considering there was an extra charge for it. The noise from the ferry loading and unloading might bother some but did not bother us.

The Dutch couple that own and operate this hotel are hard-working, efficient, and friendly. The hotel has a great view of the fjord and the ferry landing and has an attractive outdoor lounging area and grounds with flowers. Dinner was delicious and their wine by the glass was good and more reasonably-priced than most other venues. This was our favorite hotel for views and comfort of the six we stayed in during our trip, and the most affordable. Parking was spacious and the hotel easy to find. A bus stop at the ferry is within a hundred meters or so.

If you rely on streaming services for your evening's entertainment or programs in your native tongue, you will be disappointed as there are none. As a solo traveller, this was the only downside of this hotel for me.

Nice hotel with kind, friendly staff. I had a double room overlooking the fjord with a beautiful view. The room was simplistic, with a small flat screen TV (not SMART, no streaming services). I didn't eat, but other people's food looked nice. Plenty of parking.

This is a lovely hotel, with a really nice garden and terrace overlooking the fjord. We had an evening meal on the terrace with a great view and breakfast in the large dinning room, also benefiting from the fjord view. Both meals were excellent, with plenty of choice and all good quality. All the staff we saw were friendly and very helpful; especially the hotel owner, Laurens, who was a wonderful host and made us feel really welcome. He also very kindly agreed to post back a dress to me, that I accidently left in the wardrobe! The location, being next to the ferry port, was perfect for us to continue on our amazing tour through Norway.

If I have to find a minus point, it would be the lack of a fridge. However, there was no shortage of ice at the bar.

An excellent family-run hotel. Nothing was too much trouble and attention to detail was top notch. The views are absolutely stunning from the bar and terrace areas and we were lucky enough to have booked a spacious room that maximised this vista. Very good food with an option of a very reasonably priced 2 or 3 course set menu each evening. It is right by the Lavik ferry. This certainly didn't detract from our experience, and was fun to watch. Everything was clean and the shower (one of my personal rating indicators) was great.

Our room was pretty tiny for the price and it had the ubiquitous Norwegian bed set up, with a softish base topped with an even softer 3-inch “mattress”. How the entire nation sleeps on these is a mystery, but then, maybe only hotels use them? They’re just awful.

Best view ever from the restaurant/cafe. Excellent fish soup. A 2-minute drive to the ferry. Very peaceful. Charming staff.

Nice location next to the ferry quay. We had a room with a view toward the fjord. Downstairs, there is a nice terrace with the same view, where one can sit and relax. Excellent personalized welcoming by owner.

What a charming hotel. I enjoyed reading the history they provided. The owners are a nice couple that are extremely helpful if you have any questions. They have recommendations on things to do in the area and helped us with the ferry schedule. We stayed 2 nights and enjoyed the quiet LAVIK provided. Views of the fjord are enjoyed while eating one of their delicious dinners outside. Kids also found games and puzzles to do.
