Cleaning was ok but could have been better done: After a long stay, there was dust on the furnitures and the floor was not cleaned every days. No free parking even if the hotel is outside the city center. Parking is possible in a public parkingwith a negociated price but still quite expensive. For the price, the parking should be included.

Breakfast was really good with a lot's of choice and good quality. Waiters, cooks and staff very kind and professional. Not many equipments in the fitness room but enough to train. City center is at 30' walk.

    - I booked queen, got twin - The AC had something in it making a 'clank!' sound all night. - Curtains did not close all the way - The room had actual marks of a boot (!) in the ceiling (Room 705) - But the restaurant was the real disaster. Great views, bland food, yet the service was bordering on unprofessional. For lunch the table was rarely waited on, drinks ordered never arrived. The second part of our party waited about 15 min before they got to order, then after 20 minutes a waiter came up and asked about what they ordered only to tell them they were all out. He then took a new order, 45 minutes later the food showed up. But not until we had to ask for it. More than an hour in total waiting time for simple lunch dishes. Payment had to happen at the counter and the cashier basically got everything wrong mixing up our table with everyone else.

Check-in and check-out is really smooth. Especially the online check-out. Upon arrival the staff informed that they tried to contact me in order to re-book me at a different hotel due to over-booking. But now that I was there, they were going to kick someone else out instead. Good thing for me, but I would probably not disclose that information ;-)

The room was a bit small, specially little working space.

Tremendous view from the top roof resturant and excellent food, both for dinner and breakfast!

The parking is not free. Strange, since it is far outside the city center. When you travel alone, take a vest or coat and a book to the restaurant for breakfast, and hang it over your chair. If you leave your table for just another cup of coffee, your plate is removed immediately and someone else has taken your table.

Really good and diverse breakfast. And fine dinner too. Stunning view from the restaurant at the 21st floor.

That you couldn't pay cash, only accepted card. In no relation to the hotel, We got a taxi from the airport to the hotel, 15k cost nearly £60!! there is a bus service from the airport to the bus stop opposite the hotel, this was a quarter of the price! Look into this before travelling.

The woman that met us on the reception desk on the Friday was very pleasant and helpful. We ate there every morning and had tea there twice during our stay, each meal was lovely. The location is perfect if you are travelling to Tau by ferry, and the town is close with nice bars and restaurants.

The weather in early April discouraged going into Stavanger to eat so my travel companion and I ate in the top floor restuarant at the Scandic Forum. In our view, although the quality of the food was good the choice was a little minimal due, presumably, to the early seasonal time of our visit.

Excellent room with good aspect, breakfast very good and facilities up to standard.

The beds were too soft and uncomfortable.

We really enjoyed our stay. The view from the restaurant was wonderful and the staff in the restaurant and on reception were friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the walk into the centre of town. Maybe if you don't like to walk far you won't like it but we enjoyed it.

The location was not the best and what was more problematic was the rather unorganised public transport.

The staff did their best to answer all our questions, even though there were many people around. Breakfast was delicious and a wide range of things were offered. Rooms were modern and clean.

Rooms are small, get use to that. The rooms are starting to look a little dated but not too bad. Overall a good stay but not outstanding. Good value for the dollar. I think they have adjusted their room rates accordingly.

Breakfast as always is outstanding, probably the best of anywhere we stayed and that's saying a lot. Most Norwegian hotels have great breakfasts.

The hotel was affected by the recent Norway hotel strikes but was only limited to not having the room cleaned. As I was only staying for 3 nights this did not bother me and we were able to access clean towels and toiletries from Reception if needed.

I chose the hotel for its location as I was attending a concert at the DNB arena which is just a 2/3 minute walk from the hotel. Hotel offers amazing views (I was on 16th floor) and the restaurant/bar on the 21st floor offered good breakfast,a tapas buffet and even better views particularly at sunset! The hotel is a short 10 min bus ride into Stavanger for bus/train station, shops, eateries and harbour & buses run frequently and late into the night. Clean, smart hotel and I would definetely choose to stay at this hotel again if visiting the area.

My room had no iron and no tea/coffee making facilities yet my colleague had both of these. We paid the same price for both rooms. I did comment on my last night and they were obliging to bring a kettle etc. to my room. there is an ironing facility between the two toilets in the basement.

We stayed here because we were exhibiting in the Scandic Forum so it was perfect for that. Rooftop bar had great views of the Stavanger and the surrounding area. It was good for a business trip but I wouldn't stay there for a weekend break. Taxis are expensive to get into the centre.

Excellent cleanliness, apart from room carpet which had a few bits on it and could have been swept with a stronger-suction machine.

Excellent service at restaurant and reception. Restaurant recommended for dinner. Amazing views over the region from higher rooms. Great location between Stavanger's lakes for outdoor exercise.

Now, it's not so great any more unfortunatly. The room we had was OK at most. Nothing fancy, small and boring. There was no soap in the body gel or shampoo when i needed it for my shower. No soap in the dispenser for washing your hands. When the staff was confronted with this, it didnt seem they really cared. No apology or anything. You pay quite a high price for a night at this hotel compare to what you get. Breakfast was something i was looking forward too since i remembered the good breakfast i had here a few years ago. This was also a disapointment. It was OK, nothing more, nothing less... If you want more for the same price, then look for other places near by

The hotel is very central. If your lucky enough to get a room towards the more interesting parts of Stavanger it very nice if your on the higher floors. I stayed at this hotel a few years ago and it was really great.
