Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustriaRoom a bit too warm, but they provide a fan in the room.
Very warm welcome from all employees. Easy check-in. They contacted us before arrival if we want to eat at the hotel. Since there are no options nearby, we booked a table. Had a very good dinner. Try the fish & chips. It comes with a twist, really delicious! Breakfast was good as well.

FinlandThough the room was a little bit too warm. We missed a place outside where it would have been possible to prépare meals during the Day for our group. It was nice to eat in the restaurant during the evening but With children it would have been nice to be able to cook something also for us.
I liked nearly everything. The scenery was beautiful, the staff was friendly and the room was nice and peaceful.

NetherlandsSenja has blown our minds! Such a beautiful place. We were the only guests staying there but still the owner (or maybe not the owner but the one who has made us feel so welcome) made sure that everything was taken care of. He cooked the meals himself (delicous!) and showed us the Norwegian way of life. Also he had the best tips for spotting the Nothern Lights and even got out the come find us one evening when the Northern Lights were so clearly visible in all their colours; one night to remember (i'm even getting emtional while writing this, an absolute bucket list moment). The setting of Senja Fjordhotell is absolutely great en idyllic.

BelgiumThe hotel was very cosy and the rooms were comfortable. There was also a lounge room, which was very nice to enjoy the view! The food at dinner and breakfast was very fresh and delicious, hats off to the chef! The nature around though, is the true and main attraction, even with very snowy and windy conditions, the nature is just breathtaking. If you're lucky, you might even bump into a reindeer or two! I highly recommend staying.

Staff are super nice. Bf felt sick, and they provided lots of kind attention and help. The room is spacious and clean. Nice view from the room and hotel. close to the bus stop. Clear instruction on how to get there and local activities on their website. Remote from everything, so its nice to stay there to enjoy the nature or yourself.

SwedenWell, theres not much to do within walking distance, its pretty much the hotel only. If theres a way of reaching the hotel without a car it seems to me its probably not the easiest. We had a car so it was fine for us. Of course this is what makes the hotel perfect as well, not many people/tourists around. But if you are looking for a more busy place its not it. We had dinner at the hotel because it was more or less the only option we had. Theres also a supermarket you can drive to (I guess around 15min drive) but if its closed or you want more of a restaurant than the hotel is the only option. One suggestion would be to make the parking signs more clear, what we thought were the hotel parking spots were more or less full so we had to park at some other ones that we are not sure were right. But we didn´t have a fine or anything, we were just not so sure of where it was possible to park. I consider all of the above just details, it definitely did not harm our stay which was very super nice :)
We loved the hotel so much! It was perfect for one night stay in October. The room we got had big windows to the sea. Unfortunately it was too clouded to see the northern lights from our room but it would definitely be possible. Also we love the common room with board games and comfy chairs. Had some tea there to chill. Hotel was pretty calm, not many guests, which we really enjoyed. We had dinner at the hotel at it was good, nothing out of the ordinary. Breakfast was very good, with many options to choose from. Staff was very friendly as well. Would for sure stay again and recommend.

FinlandVery limited car charging - Oddly placed sauna - almost in the car park - completely missing the view
A new offering - that focusses on fishing. Feels new without being clinical. Easy access for those with mobility problems. Not a destination in its own right.....

IrelandWe were there during a very hot period and the room got warm without central AC. We were able to open the window, use the fan and the automatic blinds also helped a lot so not uncomfortable. This is common in Norway and not a fault of the hotel as nobody expected such warm temperatures!
The Senja Fjordhotel is a tucked away in the extreme south of the island on the shores of a small fjord. Its very modern as only built 5-6 years ago so was very comfortable with high end fittings. The room was plenty big for both of us and had a nice dual aspect view over the fjord and small boat jetty. Everywhere was spotlessly clean. Its a small boutique type hotel and the staff vere very friendly and professional and gave some good tips on local activities. Breakfats each morning was excellent as was the evening dinner. The beauty of the location is that the only thing to do is enjoy nature, we got in some swims and hike in the national park so really enjoyed our three days there
