NetherlandsMinor things: the bedroom blinds didn't close out all the light and there was a technicality with the washer. Some of the mattress covers are up for replacement.
In winter, the site is a skiing area and offers many dozens of chalet-style houses in different configurations. We rented a split-level 3-bedroom apartment that can accommodate 8 people so it had plenty of room for the two of us. It has a proper kitchen and a washer/dryer combo. The view from the living room and patio overlooking the mountains was quite pleasant. There is a separate, private fireplace/bbq hut that was very pretty, even if we didn't use it. I am most grateful to the staff at reception: by mistake, I had left a camera lens in the apartment. They have graciously helped me to get the lens shipped back home successfully. Tusen takk!

There is no microwave in the apartment. You also need to carry your own linen & towels or need to rent for 15 euro/person.

PortugalRegarding less good things, I had two annoying things that I did not like. The first is the communication with the housepersons. At distance, trough internet, they were too polite and because I need to pay the cleaning, with I think is strange for the price that I pay for the house, the messages treat me like a person that I do not pay the bill, to harsh The second point is the parking. Was strange, but I did not have space for my car and I need to carry the luggage, with rain, because I have the park with more cars that houses.
It's a fantastic house, comfortable, with a good view, spacious, with necessary services, with everything. Regarding the house, nothing to declare, it's a good place to stay. The rooms could be a little bigger

The cottage was incredibly cozy, spacious, and nestled peacefully in the woods. The views are amazing! For an extra fee one can order wood and further up the coziness factor.

RomaniaAfter I paied the booking, I found out that I need to pay extra for towels and bed sheets, also for wood. But this was not the biggest issue. We had to put the sheets by our own on some miserable beds, with stains of urine. It was absolutly disgusting. And we were not able to use the double bed, because they left us sheets only for the small beds. So even though we stayed in a big house, we used only the beds for one person. There was no shower gel and hair dryer. The floor was dirty. The furniture was not like in the pictures. Instead of nightstand, they used some dirty pallets.

PolandWiFi was not working during our stay. I contacted the owner, he promised to fix - but nothing happened until the end of stay (my last reminder was not answered). The oven (and the frying pan in it) was dirty. Both frying pans (teflon ones) were really worn out.

Property didn't care about that - they ignored my letters and requests for a refund for the canceled reservation for a long time and I never got my money back. Customer service didn’t help with that either. Moral of the story: NEVER pay in advance, if you don’t want to loose your money. Moral of the story no.2: If you don’t want to loose your money, choose a property that cares more about its clients.

United StatesThe neighborhood felt isolated, sort of empty, and wasn't very pictaresque, although the area is absolutely gorgeous. The bed in the smaller bedroom was very uncomfortable, but the couch was thankfully better. Also, the stairs coming down to the unit were steep -- a railing would be great!
The inside of the unit was very nice. The ski lift up to the amazing views was a real bonus, and kayaking out of Hellesylt was beautiful.

SwedenIt was snowing heavily and the approach to the apartment was covered with heavy snow. there wasnt a snow shovel nearby and we literally had to push our kid to the first floor through rails to fetch a snow shovel that was visible upstairs. No covered parking and the instructions to find the parking were not clear either. the reception is 30min away for any help to reach you on time.
