We had to phone at international roaming rates to get someone to open the reception. That person then just gave us the keys and left, giving no more information about the hotel. We did think to ask about breakfast, which has to be booked and paid for the night before.

The space around the toilet was cramped and the shower floors were slippery. The town is small so there were limited options to eat out, but we had a good meal at the Glomfjord Hotel Restaurant.

The location was good for our roadtrip through Norway. The beds were comfortable. It was nice to have a kitchenette.

Even though we loved our spacious room, the tiny step leading into the bedroom was a hazard, resulting in several toe stubbings. Also, the smoke from the smoking area at the front of the hotel drifted through the hallways, so there was a constant smell of cigarettes.

This hotel was an unexpected delight. We were upgraded to a larger room, which was super nice, and which, while not having a view to the glaciers, did allow the late afternoon sun to shine in. We made use of the great basement gym, which was full of equipment and free weights (but only one treadmill), and we were also able to use the on-site laundry for some much needed washing. The wifi was quick, the bed was super comfy, and the bathroom relatively spacious. We would definitely recommend this to anyone wanting to stay in this stunning area.

The dishes were in dire need of a thorough cleaning; most were quite dirty, and we had to wash everything before using it. We were only provided with one duvet, so I had to use my sleeping bag. Additionally, there was water leaking from the bathroom onto the carpet in the room.

The location is stunning, with incredible views of the mountains. It appeared that many workers were staying at the hotel. The staff was friendly and helped us bake something in the oven in the breakfast area.

Glomfjord is a convenient stop after multiple ferries, but these apartments are in an industrial area and some rooms are occupied by workers who share the facility with tourists. The outside of the building and entrance area are a bit scruffy so on arrival it can seem unusual, but overall we were satisfied and were able to wash, eat and sleep in a comfortable apartment.

Good facilities, very clean, and a very helpful receptionist who even came back after hours to sort out our cooker problem so we could enjoy dinner.

More opaque curtains to block off the "midnight sun". This seems to be a recurring problem in most hotels in Norway. This was not the case in Canada or Iceland, for example.

Modern and well-equipped apartment in an excellent location, ideal for many hiking and cycling opportunities as well as for exploring the Svartisen glacier. When I left I had a problem with the rental car, it wouldn't start. Line Peggy from the reception took care of it in an exemplary manner and was able to organize help so that my vehicle was jump-started and I could continue my journey, many thanks again!

The water from the shower was somehow leaking through the wall badroom tiles and the floor in the bedroom wen’t wet. The kitchen is really basic but get’s a simple meal done. The host gave an attitude like she hated tourists.

It does what it needs to do and nothing more.

Modern and nice studio apartment

Did not get the apartment we booked, photos on booking.com are misleading. We booked a large studio with oven and microwave oven, we had no oven. No kitchen towels or cloth, no dishwashing liquid, missing pots (1 small dirty only) dirty cutlery dishes and cups. Had to ask for a kettle which was also missing, and a larger pot which we finally got but with a missing handle ( 1 of 2). No tea / coffee maker. Only one chair for 2 people to eat at a wobbly desk instead of a proper dining table. Broken/faulty shower seal which allowed water to seep out of the bathroom and into the Studio entrance. Although several messages were sent to the property, none were acknowledged. Nothing was done to rectify the situation to make our stay better. Property is totally oblivious of what customer service is!!!!

The ‘apartment’ was much smaller than it appeared in the photos - more like a hotel room with a tiny kitchen at one side. Luckily we were just staying 1 night so it wasn’t disastrous but we would have been very disappointed if we’d booked to stay for longer. The kitchen is tiny and there is no oven - only hob & microwave. It was also very poorly equipped with only a handful of utensils and 2 pans. Quite difficult to cook a meal. The bathroom was a terrible layout so you can’t actually sit on the toilet straight. No coffee machine in the room either, just one in the communal area that was temperamental. Definitely overpriced for what you actually get but fine for a night.

The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. Nice walk-in shower
