Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Room was quite quiet but work going on in the opposite building and people made a lot of noise in the corridor in the early hours of the morning If you came for breakfast after 8am there were no seats left.
You get a clean comfortable room every time at Thon. The breakfast was very busy but the staff kept the food fresh and well stocked up.

The next door renovations and rebuild are VERY EXTENSIVE AND VERY NOISY!!!! Be very careful to choose a quiet room!!

Breakfast buffet was much beyond my expectation, especially various kinds of bread. The room was a bit small, but very comfortable. The location is about 5 minute walk from Oslo Central Station, and Opera House, Munch Museum, National Theater are within walking distance. Very convenient for sightseeing and shopping.

Room a little bit small. I did have a very big bag with me which opens out, but it was fine for a couple of nights.

During my stay there was construction outside which started very early in the morning -- temporary issue of course. Room was tiny. Fine for me, but just something to be aware of. No room to do your morning yoga next to the bed.
Excellent breakfast! Couldn't have wished for more. Great location making the centre walkable and other places easily accessible from the railway station. Kind and welcoming staff.

There was nothing we disliked. The hotel doesn't have much charm or character, it is functional. More a convenient base than a destination in itself.
The breakfast was spectacular. The staff were good-humoured and helpful, and the hotel itself is modern and comfortable.

We found the bathroom a little small, but was OK for 3 nights. Bed was comfortable, a little on the narrow side but again OK for 3 nights. Building works below, but didn't actually disturb us as we were out a lot of the time!
Lovely clean room, great location. Check-in was very straightforward. As others have said, the breakfast is fabulous!

Actually, the shower was too small. I don't favour luxury and a lot of wasted space when travelling in work but this cabin really was too small. I could hardly turn around:) A bit annoying sounds from the nearby construction site but I understand that this is maybe not in the full control of the hotel.
It was a good stay clean and nice and functional and decent price.

Bathroom a bit small but hey! How long do you spend in a bathroom?
Close to station and central busses. Breakfast was superb, great free coffee in the lobby was an unexpected bonus. Would stay again… also great Italian restaurant just across the street so popular you had to queue for a table but well worth it.

Nothing really except room didn't have any view.
Great buffet breakfast. Friendly helpful staff. Close to centre & tourist sites. Reasonably priced as Norway quite expensive.

Rooms are a bit smaller than we expected, but we choose it ourselves, so that wasn't the hotel's fault.
Location is perfect - you're steps away from Karl Johan Street with many restaurants, coffee shops, and shopping spots. Receptionists were kind and check-in was fast and efficient. They had many customers doing the check in at the same time, but we didn't have to wait long.

The bathroom was very small which was a bit of a challenge, but fine. The construction noise, which is out of your control, was the biggest issue with our stay. It would have been helpful to have been notified in advance.
Loved the breakfast and the location! The shelving and hangers in the room were very helpful.

Relatively small, cold, flooding bathroom in need of renovation. Regardless, still a good choice when in the area.
Central but quiet (at least in this specific room), professional personnel, good breakfast, room with opening-windows and possibility to adjust radiators temperature. Small but overall very practical cozy room.
