It is an Eco lodge so toilets are composting and showers are timed. Some travelers might not care for this but it was fine - plus lots of educational posters explaining the process along with their solar panels. The add on dinner was superb. Did not expect such fine dining in a little town. Gardens and art were amazing also

We tried to book dinner for a second night and the chef would not tell us what was on the menu (chef selection only). By 3 pm of the day, all tables were booked. At these prices, we expect to know what is on the menu. One of us does not like lamb.

Lovely place to stay, restful and peaceful, gorgeous setting. Chalet spotless, very comfortable. So enjoyed our stay, and the food was amazing. Especially loved sitting by the big fire in the evening.

It was expensive, but given the location and ethos plus the fact that we were travelling at peak time of year this is perhaps unsurprising.

The gardens, decor and general ambience of the place is lovely. The lodge rooms are very cute and spacious with nice shower, tea and coffee making facilities and the compostable toilet was very clean and did not smell at all. Everything was run in an eco friendly manner with lots of explanation around about what they do and why in this regard. The dinner & breakfast were excellent, good chef!

Eclectic in ambiance….very comfortable lodging The staff were warm and gracious. The chef(s) at the top of their craft. Their attention to the environmental concerns of our planet were way ahead of the curve. Too be applauded.

The instant coffee and white sugar provided in the rooms could perhaps be improved upon.

The staff were lovely and the food was sensational and excellent value. Breakfasts and dinners were the highlight of our day and the home made granola was the best ever. We paid twice as much for dinner at our next stop and it was not even half the quality.

The bar is still building its stocks (dont ask for cocktails) BUT the wines offered were excellent.

We were warmly welcomed and proudly told about the lodege. The generous 5 course dinner - dinner and breakfast were excellent. The room was comfortable and clean. The setting is spectacular and perfect for hiking - great to be warm and dry while the storms rolled in!
