Beds need changing. Rooms are a little warm in summer. Perhaps fans would be good.

Christmas morning all guests were treated to a free cooked breakfast.

I didn't like the beds at all , they were not comfortable, and the rooms were stuffy to and no air conditioning, amd once we opened the windows got some flies and bugs come in , was quite uncomfortable. The bathroom could use some touch up too. Also room service was opt in which we didn't realise and , they only changed our towels once during our stay.

The location was good , close to town centre and the staff was great and helpful, they even waited for us after hours to check in , we had 4 nights here and had planned a lot of activities.

There are no plugs in the bathroom, and one side of the bed has no bedside table. The bathroom door was faulty. Our room had no wardrobe, despite plenty of room for one.

It is a nice hotel with all the comforts and a good location to reach the city center and Milford Sound.

First we had booked a downstairs room and were offered an upstairs room on arrival. They changed this but first room we were in was downstairs and water came through the ceiling. Was told no one was upstairs and heater had leaked. We were shown another room straight away though. TV was pathetic, 4 channels covered in static, no Sky. Wifi was one bar in our room, very very slow. Family in another room had same issues. Paid $25 each for cooked breakfast. Was a luke warm buffet, but certainly plenty of food. Very nice family running the place though.

Fly screens on the windows. I left the windows open, but worried about mosquitoes and bugs. There wasn't the ability to adjust the thermostat. Luckily the temperature of the room was fine. The shower curtains could do with a bit of a clean, and the door was difficult to close unless I slammed it shut.

The room was as expected, you get what you pay for. Cheap and ok for my purposes. The birds nesting on the balcony were cute.

The outside of the premises was grotty. There was no signage for this building. Parking not in front of the unit. No toaster. Television reception poor. Location away from the township.

Beds were comfortable. Room temperature good. Decent sized electric jug. Nice towels and sheets.

The shower was badly designed and taking a shower was very messy. The hotel smells badly of damp, especially the reception. The carpets covering the stairs were torn in many spots and the hotel corridor looks like a prison.

The location was good and the staff were friendly.

Outdated and needs an upgrade. The area both inside and outside was unkempt. The grounds could be cleaned up with little effort, carpet needs replacing.

There's no getting around that the hallway carpets need to be ripped up and the drains cleaned, dampness resolved. There's a slight smell in the halls and bathroom (bedroom ok). Over-liberal use of air freshener does not really help. I aired out the room immediately to get rid of the intense artificial flower smell and declined servicing for the four nights I was there in case they sprayed again. Can someone with millions please make this wonderful place into the hotel or hostel that it could be? I could imagine it full of people if all the facilities were working and the dampness sorted.

The staff are all so lovely, everyone had a smile and was helpful. The room was clean and modern with a little kitchenette (jug, fridge), tea, milk. Bed comfortable, nice and quiet, felt safe, a 10 minute walk into town, lots of parking. While I saw comments about the run down nature of the hotel, I actually enjoyed this quirky aspect. It has a 'faded glory' vibe, with interesting abandoned areas to explore and I saw a guy with paint doing some sprucing up so perhaps they're on the up. Lovely wooden bannisters and large windows, mid-century style. My room had a sliding door and balcony so lots of airflow.

The fact that I was under the impression that I was going to have a room with a view as per my booking description but ended up looking at the carpark. I asked if I could have another room knowing that they were not fully booked and was told that would not be possible.
