Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

This is not a criticism - our (one night) stay was exceptional value and as advertised. and the motel - while clean - was showing its age. While the shower has doors rather then a curtain, the bathroom had old style plumbing. The motel is not beachfront and a fair walk to the main Paihia area (but a short drive, so no views.
The place was very clean. The reception/manager was very polite and happy to share his local knowledge and answer our questions. Spacious room.

Maybe a power outlet near the mirror to run a hairdryer, but that was a small thing.
Impeccably clean, well located and large rooms. We were fortunate enough to be upgraded to a suite and the rooms there are huge, combined with a lovely balcony overlooking a small garden. I’ve never been in a hotel so clean. Short walk to cafes, restaurants and the beach - there is nothing not to love. I would say the hotel is, if anything, underpriced!

Larger sofa...more counter space in kitchen. Recommend putting a newer and smaller microwave on the wall in the kitchen to provide that extra counter space. A bigger shelf on the wall in shower to put your stuff in. And again..a few shelves on the wall to put all your bathroom stuff on. Little details like this make the customer experience that much more accommodating. Lastly the outside patio on the lower level does not provide privacy at all. Not nice.

The weather!
We had two family rooms with kitchens, both were spotless. The kitchen had all the equipment we needed, beds very good and shower hot. The wifi worked well. Short walk to the seafront and a good cafe on the front. Although a longer walk or you would need to drive to the main shopping area.

All good except the pool as it was green and dirty and the online photos were misleading. The man at reception was very polite. Good value for money.

Stayed at the Two Bedroom Apartment and had everything we needed. Only a 5-10 min walk to Paihia Central but only 2 min walk to the beach. Lovely walk into town!

Pool didn't open until 10am and we would have liked to have swum in the morning. Due to water restrictions this would have meant we wouldn't have taken showers.

No big deal, but there is/was no powerpoint in the bathroom. There was one in the bedroom, but no mirror. Also, you need to ask for a hair dryer at reception. Again, it was no big deal as I would stay there again.
Greeted and shown to our room by the owner. Good location, very clean room, value for money. Would definitely stay again and recommend others to stay there.

Could of done with air con in the room. A fan was provided but it didn't have the grunt to cool the room . Slight ant problem as well but no major issues

There was no air-conditioning so we had to ask for a portable fan. We got one as soon as we asked which was excellent.
Wonderful staff and easy check in process. The room was clean and spacious enough for 2 people.

Host was welcoming, friendly and informative. Our room was clean, spacious and well serviced. The bathroom was a little dated but perfectly adequate and clean. If you wanted to be right in the centre of Paihia or have mobility issues then this probably wouldn't suit, but it is only a 10 minute walk to the i-site and there are restaurants and superettes nearby . Also most of the daily tour buses pick you up at the gate.
