There was nothing that we didn't like.

Mitcella Farms is a small gem! The house is perfect for two people. It is small and compact, with an extremely comfortable bed, and everything you need for a stay. The views of the valley and some fall colors was lovely. We enjoyed walking with Beau, the family dog) over the hills and through the orchards. We were only there for one night but it was a delightful stay. The owners were terrific, and the house property is off the grid, very cool! They even contacted us afterwards to see if we had forgotten an item. They are so thoughtful on all accounts. The property is a few kilometers from town, but that was something we enjoyed!

This was the best place we stayed at during our 3 weeks in NZ. The whole farm is made with so much love and care: the garden is beautiful and quiet, the cabin extremely comfortable and cosy. It has everything you need so make sure you have enough time to enjoy it. The hosts are very kind and the dog is awesome. We loved it and would definitely recommend it.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. If anything was to improve, perhaps more hooks/ shelves/ drawers to store clothing as there was nowhere to put this.

The scenery from this property is incredible. It’s on this cute farm with the mountains in the distance. Great to watch the sunset. The hut itself was very rustic and cosy, with a small kitchen and equipped bathroom. The grounds on the farm also had outdoor seating, swings and a trampoline! The welcoming from the dog was an added bonus.

Self contained cottage was cute, compact, cosy and clean. Steve gave us a friendly welcome ably assisted by his canine companion, Beau. The friendly vibe was duplicated at the local hotel where we were greeted as if we were regulars.

An absolute gem. The set up is idyllic. Liz and Steve have really managed to create a beautiful place which is in harmony with the world around us. Solar powered, ecologically considerate and comfortable. We all loved staying here.

Stunning place with amazing views, history and atmosphere. We stayed in small but cozy and well equipped cabin made from second-hand materials. We immediately felt like home thanks to our lovely host and cute dog Beau. Surroundings are breathtaking - the owners planted all trees by themselves and they also implemented various eco-friendly practices to protect the environment which is absolutely amazing. This farm is the proof that you can build magical and comfortable place without harm for nature.

We loved everything about this accomodation! It's an adorable tiny house, that had everything we needed. Steve was a great, welcoming host and provided us with great tips and insights about the area. There's not much to complain about. This is not the place if you are not satisfied by majestic views or peace and tranquility. It is cosy and petite.

A beautiful, quiet location with magnificent mountain views. There was plenty of space, and the beds were very comfortable. Steve and Liz were lovely hosts, we would have liked to stay longer.
