Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

New ZealandNowhere was it advertised that there were no windows in the room. Because of the storm I couldn’t find anywhere else to stay. Disappointing for the price
The staff were friendly and having the bar on site was nice.

IrelandThe constant music in the corridors from 9-10:30pm! This is ridiculous. The kitchen is too small for the number of guests- bins overflowing, dishes stacking up. suggest removing the drying trays to encourage pp to clean and dry as they go. No real area for pp to hang out, watch tv and connect.
Clean bathrooms, secure and with very modern facilities.

GermanyDuring the time I was there, I didn´t have a nice hostel vibe - which is weird since the facilities would offer enough options, but somehow most of the people where not into socializing (I´ve heard the same from a friend who spend some time there as well). The check-in / check-out is quite modern, since you can do everything by yourself. But actually its not working properly. It happens that your room key card is connected to the wrong locker. Which you´d think isn´t a big deal, since you could just use the locker your card works withs and another person will have the problem wise versa. But nope. The other person gets a card with the locker that is supposed to be his and he is able to open "your" locker. So, make sure that you change your card immediately when you find out that it is not matching.
The hostel has everything you would love to have in a good hostel (common areas, working space, big kitchen, food storage, options to buy drinks, convience food and even it´s own cafe). The pods are comfy, the lockers have a great size and most areas were very clean. The hostels location is pretty good - it´s close to the city centre, but still nice and quiet at night. You do self check-in / check-out and can already use the common areas before your check-in time.

United Statesthe bar and restaurant closed early the night I arrived and there was no where else to get food. the next morning they were out of take away cups and we’re not doing breakfast. I stayed there because everything was in one place and the services were not there when I arrived. the pods were nice and clean but no airflow. they were very hot at night with the door shut. the small fan did nothing. the women’s bathroom needed to be cleaned daily as it was super busy
very stylish, had lots of amenities, pods felt private. people were friendly

FranceCheck-in process, luggage storage, music.
It was really clean, the mattress was comfy and the room looked ok. On the down side it is utterly soulless, has the silliest check-in process I have come across, their luggage storage is anything but secure and soppy pop music plays in common areas most of the time.

SpainMost of the rooms don't have windows, so is not possible to ventilate the room. They put some music in the corridors from 8am to 10.30pm, so if you want to sleep during this time, the music is that loud that it bothers you.
The hostal is so close from the city centre. The bar in the ground floor is so nice.

New ZealandNo windows in room, don't believe that was clear on website. Other than that there was nothing to complain about.
Location was great and ease of self check in and out made for a seamless stay. Facilities although not all used were great, loved the chill out spaces on the accommodation floors. Security was good.

AustraliaWhen we made the booking we indicated we’d be arriving in the early hours of the morning (1-2am, day after our check in date) and were told this was not a worry and there’d be someone to check us in. When we arrived, the entrance door was on a night lock and we weren’t provided with the code prior to arrival. Only reason we got in was because 2 other guests were sitting in the entrance foyer and saw us and let us in. When we got to the checkin counter, we were about to use the self check in but then a staff member appeared and said she’d check us in. When I gave her my name and booking number she was puzzled and then speaking to me as if I was stupid said my check in date was actually yesterday. I told her that I was told I could check in next day (after midnight). She told me I had to have selected it with my booking agent, which I did and it even says that on my booking confirmation. She made the situation out to be more complicated than it needed to be and we couldn’t have been the only guests to check in after midnight. It just wasn’t the best interaction to be having at 2am when you’ve just arrived in a country for the first time. Also the shower cubicles just have a door and singular hook. No curtain to keep you belongings dry or enough hooks/shelving for them.
The bed was comfortable. Plenty of charging ports was good. Bathrooms were clean.

New Zealandthere was no airflow into the room so I got really blocked up and not a whole lot to do there. I was there during the flood and so we missed out on Elton John and there wasn’t much to keep us occupied when everywhere was shut outside — including food from miss Lucy’s. we had to buy chips from the vending machine as our dinner

SwitzerlandThe vents for the pots were not good enough. Even on the highest setting, it got very hot in my capsule and the fan made a lot of noise. There was no way to dim the lights in the room. The air conditioning in general was actually way too cold.
In general, the kitchen was well equipped. Enough storage space for food both in the fridge and on the shelves. Also plenty of showers and toilets. However, they were not always clean.

CanadaNo windows in the rooms made my stay very difficult (my preference is to awake with daylight). Rooms may not have an AC Unit and can feel stale. Speakers are mounted to walls in hallways and play music throughout the day and can be heard inside private rooms.
