Everything awesome! What super hosts! Beautiful place . Easy for town. Every detail sorted. Kind gifts of wine bread,cheese, milk, snack bars . Comfy beds. Powerful shower. Super speakers . Added value cute bunnies in the garden. God those bunnies could act. Great sea views.

Our stay at “on the Beach”was absolutely fantastic! From the moment we arrived, the owner went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. The room was spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated with thoughtful touches. The location was perfect—close to everything! yet quiet enough to relax. We’ll definitely be back on our next trip in the near future!

We had a bit of difficulty figuring how to open the lock box.

Everything was what was advertised, however, with the thoughtful provision of basic groceries - milk, orange juice, eggs, a really good bread, snacks and even a bottle of wine, the hosts went a step further in the hospitality business. It was much appreciated to come into a home and feel welcomed and surprised with the hosts’ thoughtful generosity. Other hosts will do well to add that extra touch if they want to achieve true excellence. Thank you Garth and Bindi.

Everything was amazing... nothing to complain about at all.

Excellent accommodation would definitely like to spend more time there. So nice to find special treats including wine, bread and cheese when we arrived. Easy access for beach walking and close to town.

I knew the house was in town, so I was expecting the location to be central. But I wasn’t expecting ocean just a few steps from the backyard terrace. You can literally just jump from the backyard to the most charming driftwood beach. We enjoyed the wonderful sunsets and also stormy sceneries. Big New World -supermarket very close. Gareth was super nice and flexible host and the house was spotless. A good wifi as well. If you’re visiting Hokitika, I couldn’t imagine a better place.

Clean,modern ,quiet and comfortable with a home away from home feel. Right next to the beach.You can’t beat that and Hokitika waterfront is amazing. Deck to sit on and a short walk to every thing. Had all the ammenities one would expect in a top notch home.
