Just finished The Heaphy Track, got the track company to drop us at The Riverstone Retreat, 30 min drive to Karamea. This place is so luxurious and beautifully appointed. Attention to detail from the owners, spa towels shower towels, veranda to look over the beautiful gardens, great kitchen with everything you need, even berries and yoghurt in the fridge for us! Bathroom upmarket tiles great rain shower. Highly recommended, owners couldn’t do more to help. Quiet and peaceful location

Loved the location, the space, decor and comfort! Love, love, loved the shower! We thoroughly enjoyed our Karamea stay. We needed more time for walks and exploring this gorgeous part of the world!

We received a very warm welcome on arrival from Anne Marie. Lots of lovely thoughtful touches, milk yogurt and berries in the fridge- so welcome after a long journey. The chalet itslf was beautifully appointed and had a great view from the decking. We would definitely like to return for a longer visit.

Everything, the property was perfect in every way. Very spacious and clean with excellent facilities and views, we loved the Spa pool. The hosts were superb and extremely helpful. We had our wedding at the property and Anne Marie and Alistair could not do enough for us to make our day special. I would not hesitate to recommend this property!
