Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaIt was located on a hilly terrain. To get to CBD it was downhill walk. But coming back it was a very steep up hill walk.
Great location for bus pickup & dropoff from the airport. The room was very nice with a small balcony where we were able to see a small view of the lake

New ZealandIt was a bit of a rabbit warren to navigate. The lifts were pretty worn and untidy and the hallways too with leaves blown in and seeds too. The buffet breakfast was a real let down. We would not do that again. Hard poached eggs, no fresh fruit, just tinned, ran out of coffee and butter. No smoked salmon or avocadoes, hams or cheese. When the butter came out, it was a block and totally hard. The man ahead of me put his hands all over it to cut it - made me feel icky.
The actual room was lovely. It had everything we needed and lots of space. It was very comfortable and quiet too.

United States of AmericaThe view is okay. Lots of hotels have better views and better location. The access to room was a challenge. The driveway is also narrow so I had to lug the luggage to the end of the driveway. Problem.
Location is good. The room is decent and is ideal for a longer stay. The staff is very good.

New ZealandAccess is difficult if you have any mobility challenges as doors are heavy and don't stay open. Parking is limited, first in first served.

New ZealandShower fluctuated hot & cold randomly. We found rubbish under the bed when we checked before leaving. Restaurant within motel wasn’t the best service and meal quality was average. Couldn’t cook a poached egg or crispy bacon as per menu.
Location was great and presentation was clean & tidy

AustraliaCheck in was listed as from 2pm we arrived at 3pm room wasn't available til 4pm which was unfortunate as it meant we had to wait to get out and explore and we only had the one evening. If we were there for longer it would not have been a bother. Staff very apologetic and lovely. Fabulous hotel, would definitely want to stay there again.
Fabulous views, parking available on property, large room, restaurant on property large bathroom short walk to the waterfront quiet room great set up

New Zealandordered room service 8:15pm....didn't get it at 8:15pm so i had to call reception who had it delivered 9pm. other than that it was ok. directions from rooms to restaurant and bar were confusing...once i returned from the reception/restaurant after paying for my room service I met a gentleman who peeked out the elevator to look for directions to the restaurant. I asked if he was looking for the restaurant and he said yes, so i directed him through the two doors at the end of corridor and take the left glass door then he will find his way to the restaurant.
Room was nice and clean

AustraliaThe room door system isn’t great the doors are very loud to close and we could hear the neighbours door slamming multiple times during the night. If you like your privacy the big floor to ceiling window may not be for you!
Great location, 5 minutes walk into Queenstown central, there is a steep hill to climb but very manageable ! Hotel room was exceptionally clean I could not fault a thing ! The view is awesome
