We had a wonderful and relaxing stay at Shearer’s Quarters. The apartment is in a peaceful rural setting that’s a short drive into town. It’s the perfect get-away for people who like a calm, quiet and comfortable place to rest. The studio is modern, spotless and open concept, with a fully functioning large kitchen and large bathroom. The kitchen pantry is stocked with essential items like salt, pepper, oil, coffee, tea, hot chocolate, pancake mix, etc. There is a dishwasher, microwave, stove top, toaster, full size fridge, freezer, cooking utensils, and best of all, a washing machine. We also appreciated the air conditioning on the warm day we arrived. There is a huge balcony out front, where you have a lovely view of the lake. We really felt pampered in this beautiful apartment, and wish we could have stayed longer. On the day of arrival, Deb let us know when the room was ready (which was before check-in time), and on our departure day, Deb let us stay a few hours longer as our flight was cancelled and we needed time to deal with the airlines. Thanks so much for a wonderful stay!

The property was spacious, with plenty of comfortable furnishings. The views from the property were amazing and it was only a short drive to the town centre.

The views are breathtaking and as you enter the accommodation you quickly learn you will want for nothing during your stay! The owners Deb & Mark are so welcoming and we loved being greeted each day by their friendly dog Bella. We are retired full time travelers going on 10 years and this is one of our very favorites. Absolutely 5 star in our book; would definitely book again in a heartbeat!

Spacious and everything a traveling couple could need. This place was close to luxury; very clean, well laid out, and a lot of excellent details. Nice to see the horses and a great view of the lake too. You do need to drive to get to town, but it's only a few minutes driving away.

There was nothing we disliked. Though just one note for potential future guests is that a car is pretty much a necessity and you need to be able to mage a flight of stairs. Those were not negatives to us, just noting for those who may have mobility concerns.

What a wonderful property. Set on a beautiful hillside overlooking the water. Secluded yet close enough to everything. Clean, exactly as described, kind, helpful hosts. A perfect stay.
