Room size a little smaller than expectation AC was malfunctioning in the night. It got freezing cold and the staff weren't able to fix it. Had to switch rooms.

Very noisy private party in the "Kebab on Wheels" hotel bar located just below our rooms - fortunately, finished by midnight

Very nice hotel, in a quiet location. Buffet breakfast was very rich, including delicious freshly made omelettes and dosas. Great outdoor pool.

Very bad smell when bathroom dooe is opened everytime. Bathtoom looked very clean and modern but wondering where the smell was from. Informed hotel reception. No feedback or action. Gives me the feeling it is a common issue for this hotel.

Good food. Japanese Restaurant is Great. Action cooking during brealfast. Good selection for breakfast. We were on a training. Excelleent buffet with our country's favaourite cuisines were served. Very friendly and attentive staff.

stuff which usually free in other hotels (slippers), was bot for free in Al Faaj. No mirrors inside the room, hair drier delivered separately and was uncomfortable drying hairs next to the wall.

Location was a bit far from waterfront and tourist areas. Overall design of pool area looked a bit dated.

Excellent breakfast. Clean, spacious and quiet rooms. Bed was very comfortable. Dinner buffet was very good. Friendly staff.

The pool can use an update. Restaurant food is quite expensive a la carte, although the Arabian bbq buffet was very nice and good value!

Clean and spacious hotel, great breakfast buffet with a lot of choice (indian, continental, Oman, freshly prepared eggs, pancakes and waffles, and more). Rooms are clean and beds are comfortable.

- Minor inconvenience - someone had dropped some make-up on the bedsheets and pillows. So we had to request to change them after we checked-in. - No slippers for the bathroom.

It was a little disappointing that they were advertising restaurants that weren't open - the only place to dine for a family was the hotel dining room.

We were there during the festive season and although Oman is a Muslim country, we enjoyed the Christmas decorations. The pool was great and our daughter enjoyed swimming whilst we could sit on the dinning room terrace and watch her.

Everything about this hotel was great. They also go above and beyond and example is the pool guy brings you your own personal ice box with water bottles, also snacks of fruit on a stick! Never received this in 5 star hotels! Pool has sun all day and gym is the best I've used. Food is great and very reasonably priced.

If they want to improve it would simply be a case of asthetics in certain areas but for us it should be at least a 4+ star already.

The pool is large and gets sun all day, the gym is by far the best in muscat from all hotels I've stayed in including a number of 4+ star hotels. The gym staff are awesome! The sauna is effective and the hottub the best I've used, it actually has very strong jets that really do the job after a workout. The rooms were decent with black out curtains, strong wifi and a selection of pillows. The food was really decent and very reasonable in cost. This hotel for some reason has received some negative reviews of which are unfounded in our opinion. It's lovely and will be our go to option when staying in muscat. Breakfast is excellent, even had a fresh fruit juice option for free that you don't get in most 4 or 5 star hotels! Also food is not left uncovered like most hotels.
