The location is excellent, close to eateries, supermarkets, transport to the airport and sights in the city. The rooms are spacious. The furnishings are not luxurious but very functional. The bed is new, firm and comfortable. There is a washing machine which is very convenient. I have never met the owner/manager but he was very obliging and helpful when messaged.

PolandThe amount of space in the apartment was amazing. It’s a typical Arab house when u get to sleep just like when visiting ur auntie. Everything was very clean and well prepared. Staff was super helpful and proactive. Close to many cafes, restaurants, small shops and main bus stops. When u book accommodation with such low price u don’t expect much but we were really satisfied.

ItalyThe hotel is run by a father and son, both very kind and always available to help and solve any problems. Both have eyes full of kindness and a very sweet smile that warms the heart. Great location, close to the mosque, fish market, fruit and vegetable market. Our room, 11, was comfortable and clean, the bed very comfortable. The shower head made the water come out very slowly, I reported it and they changed it immediately. The bathroom was very clean and with new fixtures, which is not a given. I have been to many similar hotels, but this is the only one where I would return and where I hope to return! Inshallah! Before our arrival, via WhatsApp, they sent me a file with the main things to see on site and, very usefully, by clicking on the name of each place, Maps opened directly with directions to reach it. Brilliant! Tips for managers. As I told you, I suggest you clean the room better, which had a little dust on the bedside tables, on the wardrobe shelves and in the drawers. Remember to turn on the water heater before your guests arrive, especially after a long trip the first thing you want is a hot shower. Although I understand the reasons, I still suggest you remove the plastic from the mattress, because it makes heat and noise when you move in bed. If possible, also remove the plastic from the headrest of the bed, aesthetically the room would be much nicer! Finally, the curtains had a little dust, clean them more often. Apart from these small details, the hotel is nice and the managers are fantastic! Highly recommended!

United Kingdom-Incredibly foul smells & nasty odours, both inside the property & outside. We also discovered that not only the outside premises of this building was in a very bad state, it was situated nearby an extremely revolting & smelly fish market! -BLACK MOULD, stanch, and dampness unacceptably everywhere. -Basins drainage and pipes are leaking all the time, creating a very messy, wet, and dangerously slippery floors on the bathroom and hallway where basins are located. -Kitchen is appalling generally: almost no equipment, very smelly (including fridge interior), no microwave, no gas for the hob - simply just a takeaway food storage place within the property. -Washing machine is quite primitive & hardly useful. -Showers are very old & basic; water splashes everywhere in the bathroom creating a very messy experience - no shower curtains or barriers in place. -They requested the payment to be made in cash and in Omani currency. This meant I had to overpay exchange amounts at the airport upon my arrival around 12 midnight just meet their needs. This cost me much more than the price of the property advertised, which was unfair at all. They would not accept card payments, VISA, Mastercard, or the like. They would not even accept foreign currency in cash. This policy is very limiting and designed to force the customer to exchange to local currency no matter what extra losses are endured. -I did ask them to review the matter for some compensation; to return an amount for all the negatives encounters mentioned above, they offered a 7% max of the total rental cost for the period for one condition: I take the 7% (30 Omani Riyal out of the total 412OR) only to inform Booking.com that I have cancelled my booking! I totally & immediately refused! They obviously wanted me to loose my right to inform Booking.com & not be able to review them. I sincerely hope Booking.
Just the desk staff dealings were polite and good - although they couldn’t help much to meet our requests concerning the horrible state of the property and area where they’re located.

OmanThe location is very excellent, in front of the old central market in the center of Salalah and close to all services. The brothers at the reception communicated with us at all times and served me with renting a car. Their prices are good, in exchange for it includes transportation to and from the airport. The building has window air conditioners, but it is excellent. It is well-cooled and the cleanliness is good.

We had a wonderful time at Ajaweed! The owner and his son is very helpful and kind, truly great people in every sense of the word. They helped us with everithing, gave us great written material to explore Salalah and the surrounding area. The apartmant was clean, spacious and well equipped. The location was also great, very near to the market, in the center of Salalah. Probably the best deal in the city.
