Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

GermanyThere are a lot of switches in the room. Took us a while to figure out what they are for. Very minor thing.
The room was cosy, bed is super comfy. Breakfast was good. Omar gave us a farm tour in the backyard which we enjoyed a lot. What a warm and welcoming person he is.

United KingdomThe outdoor pool is out of use and it seems for a long time. The other pool was open but the water was freezing cold (pool.in shade and we visited in February)
Great value for money, clean room and good WiFi. Breakfast good (simple but good). 25minutes drive from Nizwa, 15 from Bahla. Good stop overnight if visiting Jabel Shams. Very peaceful and clean resort.

OmanThe foul odour that emanated in the bathroom was not a pleasant thing. We covered the water outlet and the smell reduced significantly.
We had a wonderful stay at Al Shoroq Green Resort, thanks to the warm hospitality of Saleem and the Chef from Yemen. While searching for accommodation close to Al Hamra, Bahla, and Misfat Al Abriyeen, we came across this hidden gem and couldn’t have been happier with our choice. The resort consists of 11 individual villas, each featuring a cozy living room with a charming patio and a spacious bedroom with an attached bathroom. Upon check-in, Saleem went the extra mile by asking us to choose four breakfast items, which were freshly prepared and served at our preferred time. He also kindly provided an extra mattress and bedding for our 10-year-old daughter at no additional charge—a thoughtful gesture that we truly appreciated. The resort is surrounded by lush greenery, vibrant flower gardens, and fruit-bearing shrubs, creating a peaceful, nature-filled retreat. There’s also a beautifully designed Omani Majlis within the compound, adding to the authentic experience. If you're looking for a tranquil escape away from the city, surrounded by farms and natural beauty, this is the perfect place to unwind. Highly recommended! Czech RepublicEverything was fine.
Accommodation a bit out of the way, but a good starting point for possible trips to the mountains, e.g. W6 and others. The rooms are sufficient for a night's sleep and everyone has their own privacy in front of the room. Breakfast very good. The pool was not in operation when we were there.

MalaysiaThere was a little sewage smell in the bathroom at times. Need to wait for hot water between baths (but I think this is the typical case for accommodation in this area)
You can order dinner at the property and it was delicious and reasonably priced (around 3 OMR for a main dish). We were tired after hiking jebel shams and were grateful we didn’t have to venture out to find a restaurant, which seemed quite limited in the area.

United StatesThey need to put an extra roll of toilet paper in the rooms. Would be nice if they could recommend restaurants near by.
Love how the rooms are set-up - with 2 separate bedrooms - each with their own bathroom and a small living room. We ate their one night and there was so much food! They did a great job setting up a beautiful table for us in the garden. The front desk staff showed the kids the owners farm animals. My kids loved this. We were there when there was flooding in the region - and we were able to get advice if we should use the roads or not.

United KingdomNot sure why this is called a green hotel. It's a bit misleading as I didn't see anything particularly environmentally friendly. For Oman, this was also quite expensive for the location out of town.
The room was comfortable with great air con. There was a nice seated area with complementary dates and coffee. Breakfast had a good range of western and Arabic food. Staff were friendly.

PolandBreakfast could be better (more variety), also the room was really small. Also, the place is near the farm so you sam sometimes expect some animals and cockroaches but this is not systematic issue of the resort.
Beautiful place, all staff and owner are very caring and it was really pleasure to stay there. Great place to sit and drink coffee/tea in the evening. Also there is a star there - dog Lucy <3

OmanIt’s a 20 minutes drive from central Nizwa. The bathrooms could have been a little better.
The outdoors area of the resort is very spacious and has a nice playground, 2 pools (one which was out of service). The kids rode their bicycles around the open outdoor space of the property. The beds were very comfortable as well.

Early breakfasts (big tasty breakfasts), late dinner. They are very kind and friendly. Private parking on the territory.
