We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Last time I visited Muttrah hotel was over 10 years ago. I was happy to see the hotel is still doing well and still has the quaint elevator. The lobby is tastefully decorated with books and Omani artifacts. The rooms are simple and basic but clean. Breakfast was good considering the price we paid. Management allowed us to check out a little late, which was nice. Location is convenient to Muttrah Souq, Ruwi, and Old Muscat. I will be going back!

SpainThe wifi in my room wasn't strong enough to work on my laptop, but I liked the room as it was quiet, so I didn't ask if I could try another room which might have had a better connection.
I had low expectations given the hotel was very cost-effective vs others in Muscat so was pleasantly surprised when the room was comfy, the staff helpful and the location good as it was walkable to do the fort, corniche and souq. The food in the restaurant was surprisingly good for the price, and it was nice to be able to order alcohol if you wanted a drink.

Staff are simply superb, try to help in anyway possible. Travelling with a young baby is challenging, they went out of their way to make our stay comfortable.

The location in Mutrah was great and very practical to have the bar next to the hotel. Nice sized room with seating area. The staff were very helpful, finding parking spaces for us when it was full and moving forward the breakfast time one morning when we had to set off early.

GermanyFirst they didn’t have the room available that we booked (2 separate beds) and sent us to one in the second building. The water / shower there wasn’t working, the room was small (and it just had one bed) and there they didn’t provide toilet paper. The level of comfort really depends on the room you get.
Water is provided, the room we booked was quite large and the bathroom facilities were fine.

GermanyThe location is good, 20 min walk to the market and the embankment, you can always take a taxi and go, a taxi is inexpensive. We had a car and free parking at the hotel. The staff is nice, friendly. The hotel has a restaurant and even a club, opposite a couple of cafes and a supermarket. The rooms are ordinary, everything is neat, the price was very cheap, breakfast was brought to the room.

United Arab Emiratesgot the best hospitality because booked for Saturday night and until Sunday afternoon but unfortunately reached hotel at 11 am on Sunday morning so need rest because travel from Dubai to Muscat by bus when reached at hotel inform the same to receptionist madam, she is may be local i inform to her i traveling with my wife so both are full tired she suggest me i can give you the room until evening because i saw you are fully tired and your booking will finish until 2 pm so if you cancel the booking then you will not receive any refund amount (room is very clean and room interior also very good fell like home )
