We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

Amazing location and views. Ideal for relaxing. Excellent kind service, specially from Isabel at the spa and the waiters at the restaurant.

United StatesSome of the furniture in the chalet was dated and stained as well as the dining tables and chairs in the restaurant.
The property is beautiful and the staff very friendly and helpful. The food was delicious! We enjoyed the room especially the beautiful bathrooms. We even used the fireplace and built a lovely fire to make it nice and cozy. The alpacas were awesome to see and help feed.

PeruHotel is a bit far away from town and road access is very narrow, our bus couldn’t go to the hotel and we had to arrange a van ourselves to be able to enter. I expected the hotel to help with this.
A friend of our group had an incident with his room in our last day, management resolved it quickly and we had a great stay and experience in Colca.

Ecuadorthe lack of sound proofing. we had an awful night since our neighbors had 2 kids. one baby that kept crying all night long, and at 6am all 4 family members were loudly talking and the 2 kids screaming constantly. if you plan to stay here, make a remark to be away from families if you plan to rest and sleep

PeruThe restaurant needs to understand gluten free food a lot better. I had written with anticipation and they said they could meet my needs. However the restaurant staff did not understand what gluten free meant, and offered me vegetarian food (which was also gluten free), and when I ordered meat the next day they exclaimed, "oh, can you eat meat?!" There was very little I could eat at the buffet breakfast, it would be great to have gf bread and cereal options. Some of the decor is a little jaded for a 4 star hotel, peeling paint on bathroom mirror, the massage room I had in the spa could do with a facelift. The hotel wanted to charge $350 for transfers to and from Arequipa---absolutely ridiculous!! The local minivans charge s/20. I understand the hotel transfer costing a bit more than public transport, but seriously, that was extortionate. Plus they said they charged $35 for taxi from Chivay to the hotel, but in reality we got a local taxi and it was only s/80 both ways between 3 of us.
The room was great, they put an extra bed in for us as 3 friends. I loved the big bath!! The location was beautiful and nicely designed. It was very close to really good thermal baths. The food prices were better than I expected.

BrazilI didn’t like that we weren’t met at the gate to help with bags. the reception was no help, and we had to carry heavy luggages down this steep driveway as our taxi is not allowed into the property. Also, I did not appreciate getting charged 18% tax when I am clearly a tourist with US passport. They changed me 18% for room and for the restaurant! They would not waive the fee.
