Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Right by a big river. Two little rivers ran through the property and made a waterfall, whose sound lulled us to sleep. There is a hot springs right by the property.

It was a bit of a drive off the main road, but worth it.
Lots of amenities…restaurant, bar, hot springs right next door, bikes on the property, alpacas, etc. The staff was very nice and helpful. The room and bathroom were very spacious, comfortable, and clean. Being along the river was beautiful.

The dish I ordered did not meet my expectations. (Guinea pig), which is supposed to be an speciality in this region. The entrance to the hotel was bumpy

It is down a hill so it would be nice if someone was at the gate at arrival and helped up with our bags up and down the hill.
Beautiful location. Very clean. Great meals. Extremely accommodating to someone who needed a wheelchair. Great accommodations.

The decoration of the facilities could be better, according to the area and the concept of “pueblito encantado”…. Less metal and more rustic/rattan chairs, sofas, lamps in the rooms.
Amazing location and views. Ideal for relaxing. Excellent kind service, specially from Isabel at the spa and the waiters at the restaurant.

Some of the furniture in the chalet was dated and stained as well as the dining tables and chairs in the restaurant.
The property is beautiful and the staff very friendly and helpful. The food was delicious! We enjoyed the room especially the beautiful bathrooms. We even used the fireplace and built a lovely fire to make it nice and cozy. The alpacas were awesome to see and help feed.

Hotel is a bit far away from town and road access is very narrow, our bus couldn’t go to the hotel and we had to arrange a van ourselves to be able to enter. I expected the hotel to help with this.
A friend of our group had an incident with his room in our last day, management resolved it quickly and we had a great stay and experience in Colca.

The hot water did not work in the morning. Had to take the shower in a different room.
Good location right next to the river. A bit hard to get there if you have your own car. Good breakfast and very friendly staff.

the lack of sound proofing. we had an awful night since our neighbors had 2 kids. one baby that kept crying all night long, and at 6am all 4 family members were loudly talking and the 2 kids screaming constantly. if you plan to stay here, make a remark to be away from families if you plan to rest and sleep
It’s a lovely hotel in every sense, unfortunately the divisions in rooms it’s not thick enough and you can hear everything happening in the next room

Very very cold in our second floor room even with separate heater because we think heat got trapped in the tray cathedral ceiling. We were invited to use the warm springs but they had flooded so we're closed and the pool was way too cold.

I didn’t like that we weren’t met at the gate to help with bags. the reception was no help, and we had to carry heavy luggages down this steep driveway as our taxi is not allowed into the property. Also, I did not appreciate getting charged 18% tax when I am clearly a tourist with US passport. They changed me 18% for room and for the restaurant! They would not waive the fee.
