Only a customer who has booked through Booking.com and stayed at the property in question can write a review. This allows us to verify that our reviews come from real guests like you. Who better to tell others about the free breakfast, friendly staff, or their comfortable room than someone who’s stayed at the property?
We want you to share your story, with both the good and the not-so-good. All we ask is that you follow a few simple guidelines.
We believe review contributions and property responses will highlight a wide range of opinions and experiences, which is critical in helping guests make informed decisions about where to stay.
Contributions to Booking.com are a reflection of the dedication of our guests and properties, so we treat them with the utmost respect.
Whether negative or positive, we'll post every comment in full, as quickly as possible, after it's moderated to comply with Booking.com guidelines. We'll also provide transparency over the status of submitted content.
After a review has been submitted, you can modify it by contacting Booking.com customer service.
We'll use the same guidelines and standards for all user-generated content, and for the property responses to that content.
We'll allow the contributions to speak for themselves, and we won’t be the judge of reality. Booking.com’s role is to be a feedback distributor for both guests and properties.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

Staff was unfriendly upon arrival and did not make sure we felt welcome. Although we reserved a Machu Picchu guided tour three months in front through the hotel (upon their seemingly kind suggestion), when we arrived they claimed that we have no such reservation - finally they offered a rapid solution booking a guide which had poor English skills.
Breakfast was nice and the hotel is located near both the bus and train station (directly next to the rails, quite loud when train is passing).

The room we stayed in was on the top floor with lots of stairs as there is not lift in the hotel. The noise from the train station made it the hardest night to sleep. We found several tissues under the bed.
The staff were friendly and gave us information about getting to Machu Picchu. They helped us check in slightly earlier. There is basic breakfast from 4am for the people who have to leave early.

Very poor lodging for the money. WiFi was poor and at times unavailable ( none on second floor). The hotel is on a busy street and was very loud into the wee hours. The curtains allowed in much light making sleeping difficult. The furnishing were mediocre other than bed. The safe in the room malfunctioned. This is the kind of place where you return after the day to crash not to hang out. The lobby is cramped and uninviting.
Good location near train station. But then all hotels are near the train station. Nice bed, big tub.

The only issue was its closeness to the train station but trains don't run from 9:50 pm to 5:30 am so really wasn't a problem.
The staff was quite helpful and stored our bags while we spent a 2nd day at Machu Picchu. The rooms were very comfortable and close to everything so quite convenient to get from the train, to the bus for Machu Pucchu, restaurants, etc. It was very nice that they offered a full buffet breakfast starting at 4:30am to support those wanting to get to Machu Picchu on the first bus at 5:30am.

Breakfast was minimal. Internet connection was very poor (e.g., forget about streaming).
The hotel offers early breakfast at 4:30am, to cater for travelers who want to climb the Machu Picchu early. Our room included a jacuzzi which definitely is a perk worth paying for. The hotel offers umbrellas when it rains.

scratchy sheets. bed/pillows: bad. I'd rate a 2 of 10. You must let mgt know an hr ahead of time if using the jacuzzi. It steamed up everything including the floor making it slippery. Not really a suite, jacuzzi is in the bedroom. I could hear what was being said in the bar (normal voice chatter) from my bed. You have to check out at 9:30 am. I was hoping to shower & nap after an early trip to Machu Picchu No A/C, htg (we didn't need it but others should know). I was charged more than bkg.com said.

1-location : right next to he train station ; u can hear the trains and smell the fuel of you open the window 2- although the weather is nice in Peru , it's still hot for many of us who lives in the northern side of the world !! No airconditioning and impossible to open any windows because of the massive amount of bugs and Mosquitos 3- I made the rsvp in U.S. $ and when I got there they charged me in soles ! The rate ended being higher than what I booked for and my bank charged me for the exchange transaction on top of it - I wasn't happy about this part
The staff was helpful and very nice ; good for spending the night

The lobby and room were simply and clean, but the best part was definitely the staff! I got really sick the night before I was supposed to hike Machu Picchu, and my dad notified the staff when he went to eat breakfast at 6 am and they called a doctor who came to my room within 20 minutes. They also found someone to translate for us(our Spanish sucks). Thanks to them I was able to get some medication and not have to miss out on Machu picchu. When we got back I was feeling pretty nauseous again, and the kitchen staff was very accommodating and made me some plain soup that I could eat. Thank you to everyone there, my trip would have been miserable without them!

You are right next to the station which is great for convenience however there is absolutely no sound proofing. Trains start at 530am which isn't too bad as generally you are up early to get to the mountian but just keep this in mind if you are not an early riser. I consider my self a relatively deep sleeper but I couldn't sleep through this. But it's not just the trains - the walls are so thin you can hear almost all the other guests in the hotel There is also no lift, so If you end up on the 5th floor like us then after a long day of hiking the mountains the last thing you want to do is walk another 5 flights of stairs! We had booked the suit so we could use the spa. It took around 1hr to fill and the water was only just warm. The next day I had a shower at 5pm and there was barely any hot water
The staff were excellent

My room only had a window to the stairwell, would have been nice to look out to the mountains. The rooms were cold and they didn't have heating although they lent me a small blow heater when I asked.
It's right alongside the train station so you can't really get lost, and besides they meet you at the train and accompany you to the hotel. The inside rooms are very noisy with people going up and down the stairs. Might be a good idea to put carpet down or signs asking for quiet. Also the automatic light goes on and off all night as people more around -annoying for the inside rooms - light proof drapes might help.
