Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesThe location is perfect for being in the historical center of Arequipa. The hotel is just a couple of blocks to the main plaza and the Santa Catalina Monastery is in front of the hotel though you have to walk around the block to reach the entrance. Our room had a view of the Misty Volcano. Arequipa seems to be a busy city 24 hours of the day so street noise could be heard in our room but it did not interfere with our sleep. The reception staff was very helpful and pleasant.

SpainI don’t think it’s a real 4 stars and found it quite pricy for what it is. Breakfast could be improved too. The access to the inside pool should be free for guests. It’s a little bit like a maze to find your room.
The patio, with all those flowers, is simply gorgeous. The beds are comfortable and the location is amazing.

RomaniaThe room is not properly isolated and during the night it can get very cold. Also you can hear everything from the near rooms! For ex our neighbours had a fight for 1 hour at 2 am which besides that kept us awake it gave a very bad feeling. We had to call the reception to make them stop.
The room was very nice, comfortable bed and with a bathtub in the room which helped a lot with the cold temperature. The interior garden is beautiful, with a lot of plants which give a lovely atmosphere of the place. The spa is also nice, we had a massage and used also the sauna and it was very good.

PeruThe kitchen was only opened during breakfast. Because it is a boutique hotel it has no room service. I think I will consider this next time I travel with a child.
The style and Roman baths . My room had a panoramic view and the sun hit it during the whole day so it was very warm. I loved it!

PeruLots of stairs, breakfast was not so good, and the manager wake me at 10.30 pm and want me to come downstairs to fix a problem that they cause in my billing invoice. I was sleepping but he insisted a lot for me to come downstairs, i as i refused i told him to come upstairs and give him my credit card to fix their own matter. It was really annoying for me.
Decoration and plants, the bed was nice too. Good location.

New ZealandBreakfast was well stocked buffet BUT we prefer bacon and eggs and they supplied scrambled eggs but there was nothing heating the serving dish so the eggs were never hot, in fact barely warm. Bacon in Peru appears to be a small slightly spicy sausage not strip if bacon as we know it. Toilet seat was loose and didn't fit the base properly. Sadly because it's an older building, hot water takes a while to come through. I was aware there are no elevators so I ca not complain but for my old 70 year old knees they were difficult.
Loved our 2 receptionists, both were more than helpful. I don't often hug a receptionist in a hotel goodbye bit o fid in this instance. The hotel was probably an old Spanish home, there are hallways, patios and rooms all over the place, definitely not your normal hotel. Great lookout points of the city. It is a photographer's dream, hibiscus flowing down from higher points and while there a bride was usi g the hotel prior to getting married for photographs. Our room had a most interesting interior design, the bathtub was sunken into the floor, the toilet and shower were located behind a door further in from the hand basin. Location is extremely good short walk to historical center, bars and restaurants.

NetherlandsBreakfast itself was a bit basic.
Nice location within walking distance of everything. Very beautiful building. Nice reception with friendly people. Good sized room. Good bed. Rooms differ very much in setup and view. The best ones are overlooking the inner courtyard I guess. Ours overlooked the river and road. I still liked it though because you saw every day Peruvian life. You could sit in the bathtub and enjoy the views. Arequipa is beautiful and this hotel has some great viewing points of the mountains and volcanoes if you walk around the building a little. Having breakfast in the gorgeous inner courtyard is great.

United KingdomThe old ways of the rooms means that there is basically zero sound proofing. The doors to the balconies were gappy. This meant the outside clubs, noise, music were in bed with you. I literally had the worse 5 nights sleep here which is such a shame as it is a lovely place. You need to decide on style over substance if you stay here. Although the massages we took were fantastic, the Roman spa was too cold and the water was too cold to relax. If you take a massage the spa is free. If so, I think it’s worth it, but I would NOT pay $17/19 whatever it was just for that spa.
It’s is so boutique you will love it. Especially breakfast in the courtyard. Location is great, directly in the old town, but as you will see later this is also its downfall…

Canadathe wifi wasn’t working at all in my room nor on the rooftop terrace. The first night i didn’t have hot water. I ordered room service because i was sick and the tray was dirty with dust. definitely bring earplugs, there’s no insulation. Overall it’s not a bad place, but for the price, i was expecting more, i don’t think it’s worth it.
Nice breakfast, felt welcomed. Beautiful lobby and garden. My room was spacious, with plenty of storage for luggages.
