How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

Verified reviewOhiti Lodge is magical!! Located on a small, privately owned peninsula our stay at Bungalow Teipo was exceptional. The bungalow itself is situated about 50 meters from the beach which is secluded and sees very little foot traffic. The ocean water was crystal clear and fantastic for snorkelling. There is also a shaded area for those who, like us, are venturing from post winter climates and need a little protection from the sun but still want to enjoy the beach. We got to see sunrises from here too. The bungalow itself has been thoughtfully stocked so that you can enjoy cooking at the residence. There is great air conditioning in the bedroom, ensuring a good night’s sleep. The area outside is wonderful to enjoy relaxing and dining in the warm Moorea air. The only negative I can think of is that the road to the lodge is a little challenging. My advice would be just to take it slowly. Vaea is an excellent host! Very friendly and accommodating. Gave us lots of helpful hints about the area too. Thank you 🌸

Verified reviewHost was the best, welcomed me with the key, offered some fresh fruit on arrival. Was there to handle anything I needed. Here and her young daughter even made me a home made birthday cake. The bungelow was new, modern, well equipped and very clean.
The beach itself while extremely beautiful and close, was more rocky than sandy. Wasn't as conducive to get out and swim in. Property was a little challenging to find, for the first time.

As so there is white sand but also small white rocks which is very normal for this part of area of Moorea As for finding our access road, I always send a message prior to all my clients with the specific directions along with pictures to explain so that finding us isn't difficult at all Take care vaea 🙂🌺

Verified reviewNature and the sealife were superb, coupled with great hospitality made our stay a memorable one. Highly reccomended for people that appreciate these things. Ca r is a must to explore the island and prices are very reasonable.
Not so easy to access the place but the hostess is of great help. With a car most places are within easy reach.

Verified reviewBeautiful spot with it's own semi private beach and very comfortable chairs for lounging and hanging out right at your place. Convenient to everywhere (it's not that big of an island haha). Very kind host and beautiful set up all the way around! Just left and already miss it so much!
the access is about 1-2 miles down a dirt road, so I'd say make sure you have rented your own car if you're staying here because biking/taxis from here might be difficult! We had a car, so it wasn't a problem but something to consider while planning your stay!

Verified reviewWowee! This place is a gem! Immaculately clean, everything you need is here to hide away from the world. It’s a slice of paradise. I’m so glad I booked here, really gorgeous place to stay. Beach access, beautiful views and everything you need to relax.
The road in is an experience after the rain, but a little off-roaming never hurt anyone. My little Suzuki Swift was fine. Construction noise is present, but you just tune it out. And listening to the construction workers singing along to Celine Dion was a hoot.

Verified reviewEVERYTHING!! What a gem of a find!! We needed to have a last minute place to book for one night (would have loved a longer stay!!) spotless, really well laid out, everything exactly as you would need. Lots of attention to detail. And the tiniest of walks to your own private beach, which is great for snorkeling…. Also a nice sitting area overlooking the beach.. beautiful patio area outside outside with barbecue & outdoor shower as well as indoor shower, full kitchen set up, and air-conditioned bedroom!!! Wi-Fi and Netflix included!!! Our host hostess, Vaea, not only beautiful, but very kind and accommodating for all of our needs!!! a little spot!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Verified reviewLarge bungalow in a large garden with beach access. The pictures are very accurate. Well equipped kitchen (also salt, pepper, oil, vinegar available). Great bathroom. Outside shower. Two picnic tables, one under the roof, one on the lawn. BBQ is under that roof below the bedroom window. It has wheels so pull it out before using.

Verified reviewPeaceful, quiet, clean. Steps from beach. Seating at beach if you want. Nice air-conditioned bedroom with window towards ocean. Outside covered eating area. Large bathroom. We'll equipped kitchen. Host is very helpful for anything you need. If you're looking for a relaxing location, this is it. Not far from ferry. Very close to airport and golf.

Verified reviewWe had a great week here, the bungalow is really well equipped, the kitchen had everything we needed and it’s just a really nice space in general with a great outdoor area and lovely wooden finishings everywhere. The access to the private beach is great for snorkeling (and snorkels were provided too!) and it’s a great base to drive and explore other parts of the island. Vaea is a super lovely and welcoming host, she gave us some great restaurant recommendations and even did a load of washing for us too.

Not enough light in the bungalow
Hello there kristina it was a pleasure having stay in bungalow Teipo As for the lighting in the bungalow, there are 3 lights in the kitchen, one big light on the ceiling of the bedroom+ 2 bedside table lights as well and in the bathroom there are 3 lights as well 🙂 As for the porche there are 3 lights as well but maybe if you are doing your nails at night it isn't the best light for sure 😉 Take care and safe trip back home Mauruuru Vaea 🙂🌺

Verified review- right of a private beach - perfect size for two people - aircon in bedroom - all cooking facilitated you would need - really nice touches like coffee and oil etc - AMAZING hosts so friendly checking in if we need anything and just so generous! - comfy bed - good location too, just 8 mins from ferry , also close to where main tours start. - close to the best public beach on the island - really affordable for Tahiti
Ideally you need a car, this is the case for everything In Tahiti.
