Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

This may be rated 4* but it’s absolute heaven. Not your standard room we stayed in a gorgeous cottage/hut. This is a small establishment with about 9 accommodations in total. It has a small pool and one bar/restaurant on the waterfront. Note that depending on the tide it’s either right up against you or 50 yards away. Where do I start… the service is amazing, the food/breakfast lovely. We had massages in our cottage at incredible prices. We were given great travel advice and booked our day excursions with ease. The beach immediately outside is beautiful but unswimmable. You’d need to walk 10 mins either way or travel ( 100-150 pesos / 5 mins) to a nice beach. The truly magical beaches however are on the nearby islands or a long drive 30-45mins away. We loved the location but some may like being closer to the actual town which is again a 5 min tricycle ( tuk tuk ) ride away

The staff, the rooms and the care during my entire stay truly made my trip! Unfortunately, I travelled during a time when terrible weather was expected (nothing anyone can control, it’s July, and knowing I was travelling during an off-peak season, I expected this to happen) and also experienced an injury on my first day (something I did NOT plan on experiencing, haha), and was pretty much stuck at the property during the entirety in my time at El Nido, I retreated mostly to my room. I gave a heads up to the staff days before that my flight and arrival at the accommodation would be earlier than expected, and they were gracious enough to have me wait in one of the rooms while my accommodation was getting ready. I commend the staff, from the front desk to the resto, to the staff from the spa, and everyone else in between for helping me out during my trip. From getting me a tricycle to the nearest hospital after hearing about my injury to assisting me over the little things despite the storm during my trip. I really felt the alaga/care and I appreciate everyone’s help and assurance during what would be such a stressful time for myself as I was travelling solo this time around. Buko Beach Resort really made it feel like home, from the beautiful rooms, and the hardworking people that make up the resort; they were the silver lining in my trip and I’m so thankful! I can’t wait to return with my family this time, when I’m physically able and when the sun’s out.

I was lucky enough to stay in Cottage 1, which is located right across from the pool and the sea. This hotel is very well located, outside El Nido and just a 5-minute scooter ride from the town center. The hotel staff are very professional and incredibly friendly. Everything is perfectly organized, and you have the chance to stay in a luxury hotel with only 20 guests, which guarantees extraordinary peace and quiet. I can only recommend this hotel, which, unlike other luxury hotels stuck on islands where you can't go out in the evening, allows you to enjoy El Nido.

United KingdomA little far out from el nido town centre - just to be aware but a quick tuk tuk drive.
Breakfast options were excellent and delicious. Pool was on the smaller side but sufficient and overlooked the beach. Room was spacious and clean. Bed came with a mosquito net. Bathroom was partially outside and big - very cool and unique but also warm. Staff were helpful. One of us fell really ill during our stay and the staff were there to help call doctors, provide medicine and help with transport to the doctor.

It's a beautiful resort, peaceful and quiet. The staff is very friendly. Breakfast was excellent with a restaurant looking out on the beach. The pool has a perfect size just to relax. The design of the room is gorgeous with good facilities and a fridge in the room.

AustraliaThere were two items they need improving. The floor surfaces were slippery, we had a number in our group who fell or slipped on wet and slippery floors. The restaurant had a great variety of food available but this led to long delays in food being delivered to table after ordering
The location was on a quiet location of El Nido and Corong Corong beach. It felt like a very natural rainforest oasis and resort in the hustle and bustle of El Nido. A perfect setting with the bar and restaurant overlooking the bay and the nightly sunset. The restaurant food had exceptional variety for all tastes. The rooms were exceptional in keeping with the whole rainforest theme. Bamboo construction and an outdoor bathroom a highlight. There is also a good variety of other restaurants within walking distance as well

United KingdomThe beach is not for swimming as it is very shallow and the water reaches to your ankles, but they have amazing beaches 5 minutes from the resort. We took trycicles every day and they are very cheap. We also went to beaches 45’ from the resort and they arranged the taxis for us too.
Where do I start. Such an amazing place. Exceeded our expectations. Photographs do not do justice as it is truly stunning. We booked the Garden Villa and it is so beautiful. Beds and pillows are extremely comfortable, and normally I have problems with them in other hotels. Staff are so welcoming and ready to help you with anything you need. We booked tours, water fall excursions, quads, everything with them. It is cheaper to book the tours with them that to do it with Viator or GetYourGuide. Food is amazing and they brought to the Villa every morning. Quite big quantities but we asked for less quantity the other days. We loved Ensaimadas and Pan de sal, that were not in the menu, but they brought it for us. The sunsets are truly amazing and the swimming pool is perfect as well and we were the only ones using it. Food at their restaurant is very good too. There are many restaurants walking distance but the resort is quiet and peaceful.

The staff were absolutely amazing - super friendly and always ready to help with a smile. The location of the resort is perfect - very peaceful and quiet, but still close to El Nido. Perfect location to watch the sunset. You can see that they put a lot of thought, effort and craftmanship into building this place.

United Kingdom‘Sea View’ room was actually a view of the restaurant and then the sea beyond which was surprising and disappointing - and not as shown in the photographs. As we arrived we were told of construction work next door. This should have been communicated from the start. The cooked breakfast was pretty much inedible with hard, overcooked eggs. All a shame because otherwise I would recommend this hotel.
Perfect position on the beach (though you have to walk a long way for it to get deep enough to swim). Friendly, helpful staff and well designed rustic room.

This is Luxury at its best! You feel like you have your own private property, staff is always willing to serve, is a quiet, secluded area. Beach is roght in front of the property, pool is clean and never crowded. You can completely relax as the staff will arrange everything (at extra cost): airport transfer, Port transfer, trycicle, tours, meals, etc... Breakfast is delicious! Try Philipino breakfast, it is great!. You can also order aditional items (at extra cost), order Calamansi ginger tea, is the best sweat tea I have ever tried. Restaurant view is peaceful, and the service is amazing
