How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

There was a charge to refill water bottles. The room was very humid and sometimes had an intense smell.
Nice to have an individual house and be able to hang towels and swimming suits outside in the porch.

Upon arrival they told us that they were going to move us to another hotel for one night. To which we did not agree because the agreement in the reservation was not fulfilled, luckily after speaking with the owner, they resolved the issue and gave us the correct room. It was a very awkward situation. Very bad WiFi.
Location and privacy room. Good cleaning.

The stuff could be more friendly, especially the owner !!
Cheap price for that what you get. There is an AC if you book it with AC. For just sleeping inside its totally enough.

The water in the bathroom doesn't drain after your shower. You have to stand in the puddle while brushing your teeth! They offer coffee sticks but no cream/milk to go with it.
The location was the only good thing. Very close to the food market about 30 meter walk. Lynlyn the reception/admin - was also attentive and helpful. She organized our transport from Maya port to Cebu City.

The room was tiny. Bed in an alcove so had to climb over each other. Aircon good but crazy noisy. Water pressure in shower was awful - water only came out of 4/5 holes in shower head. Wifi didn’t work for 2 days - when it did work it wasn’t reliable. Owner was away for 2 days on mainland fixing (?) wifi and when he did come back he was pretty rude and not friendly at all, didn’t smile at all or engage with any guests. I tried to be nice and smile at him on numerous occasions but nothing in return. For the nights he was there he had mates over drinking in outside area, which all the bungalows looked on to, it was a bit intimidating- especially if you were single female.

they wouldn’t let me check in :( i sent them multiple messages and showed up in person multiple times, but nobody was there. they also did not respond to my refund request after 3 days.

The room was always full of ants, coming from the roof and everywhere, also couple of cockroaches, and warms, in one bed the mattress was supper thin. We didn’t enjoy much the time on the room, but the balcony was ok.

The stay was really amazing, we finally stayed 5 nights instead of 3. The cabins are so cute, a bit old but clean. The location is amazing as you are really close to the markets, with really good and well priced food, close to the beach and to the pier. We loved the island ❤️

Bathroom was a disaster, impossible to take a shower. The room smells like toilet. The girl on reception actually said 3 sentences during whole stay
The place has great potential due to location. Also an idea of small wooden houses is very nice

Would have loved some more hangers and shelves in the room and bathroom since the room is so small.
Cute little room. Bed comfortable. Staff nice. We had both fan and AC. Location is very central, close to the market, just a 5 min walk to the beach. The rooms are in a little garden. For the price, we are very happy with what we got!

It was the cleanest among the accommodations we've tried. Though, there was a garden, there were no mosquitos. It's a cozy yet affordable accommodation which is also centrally located. We were satisfied.
