Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

We had a really good stay at Rain Haven Lodging House. There is free coffee and water all day long. The family is really nice. There is a good wifi 👍 We recommend this place

I had such a great experience. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained—perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. The location is peaceful yet still close enough to town, making it easy to get around without the noise. The owners Ria & Ryan were incredibly friendly and helpful, always ready with local tips or a warm smile. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a quiet and cozy place to stay in Coron!

Shower head/pressure wasn’t great but fine for a short stay.
The owner was super friendly, he always had a smile on his face and was super helpful all times of the day. Cold and hot drinking water available at the common area outside. Cosy clean room. Good location - 10 min walk from main strip.

Extremely friendly staff, good location in a little street right off the main road close to everything. Free coffee and water dispenser . They had hot water and the rooms are pretty big

This lodging is clean, comfortable, and affordable, just a short 5-minute walk from the main street. The staff is exceptionally friendly and efficient—they to arranged our early morning tuk-tuk to the port, always with a warm smile. Highly recommended!

everything perfect
The place is quiet on another road but very reachable to the center of Coron. There was space to hang out and have some water or coffee. The offered tours were also nice and affordable!

Only the thin curtains and outside light being on all night but absolutely fine if you’re not a light sleeper and if so - just put eye mask on!
Really lovely staff, so nice to chat to and helped us organise our very early departure to the airport in the morning. Nice location - easy walk to centre but away from the noise from main road. Room and bathroom very clean and comfortable!

super friendly family/hosts, great communication, comfy room, everything u need, good wifi, room clean, shower warm & good water pressure as a bonus:), free drinking water & coffee, little walk to city center, good pizza place next to the house, supported us in organizing a tour / scooter, also supported us in staying another night as our boat trip to el nido got cancelled / checks updates etc. - thanks so much again! Anytime!

Nice and clean room not too big but enough. The owner and the staff very nice and friendly. They also have a relax area with free water and coffee. Good location, quiet but not too far away from restaurant and main road .

- The Wi-Fi signal was quite unstable. - The room is spacious but rather empty. It could have more amenities, such as hangers, a small wardrobe, and a place to put shampoo in the shower. - The bed was quite noisy.
I stayed with my wife for 6 days. Overall, it was a good stay—we would return and recommend it! - The room, bedding, and towels were very clean. - The family is very friendly and helped us with everything we needed. - The mattress was comfortable. - The shower had hot water and good pressure. - The air conditioning worked very well. - Great location, within walking distance of restaurants and shops.

Spartan room, nowhere to put luggage/clothing other than the floor. We had an animal (presumably rodent) walking on the ceiling at night which kept waking us up.
Lovely couple running the place, very helpful organising trips and transfers. The location is good, a bit outside the center but quieter.

I had an amazing stay at Rain Haven Lodging House in Coron! The location is great—close to the town center but still quiet enough to relax. The rooms are clean and comfortable, offering everything you need for a pleasant stay. What truly made my experience special was the incredible hospitality of the owners, Ria and Ryan. They are such kind and caring hosts! When one of my trips got canceled, they immediately offered me a room for the night. Their warm and welcoming nature created a truly homey atmosphere, and they were always ready with a smile. Even after I had checked out, Ria reached out to make sure my travel plans worked out. If you’re looking for a guesthouse with a personal touch and outstanding hospitality, I highly recommend staying here!
