The single aircon in the poolview family room is not enough for the size of room. Really needs a second unit.

The standard is not really like home though. Cleaning, internet, toilet, water. It is good considering it's location, but some stuff leaves room for improvment. Nothing that really affected my stay in a negative way though.

Very cosy and calm resort some distance from town. Friendly and helpful staff, both the locals and foreign employees. The athmosphere is great and it is well maintained making it an oasis to come back to after you been gone on adventure.

Little far from center. Also everyone was very nice except the lady who handled our check out. To me, she didn't look like she care about guests much. We asked her to call tricycle. Then we said we ll wait in the restaurant and asked her to let us know when the driver arrives. After waiting around 45 minutes, i went to reception area and asked her again. Trycycle was there, and she said he just arrived. When we were on the way, I asked to the driver and he said he was waiting there around 20 minutes. If we kept waiting we could stayed in the restaurant few more hours i guess. :)

Staff were generally nice and helpful. The owner (i think his name is michael) is very friendly. Food was okay. Room was good. Clean and good view with balcony.

It's a bit far away from the main town, but we were mainly in the area to dive so this was a great place to stay for that.

We felt very at home at the Blue Orchid! The staff was great, always able to help with things. I got my PADI diving certification here and it was great! Room was basic but comfortable. The location was peaceful. Loved the grounds and the view of the ocean.

The mattress was way too hard and uncomfy and I had some restless nights here. I like firmer mattresses, but this was like sleeping on concrete. No shower gel or shampoo.

The location was perfect, away from all the noise. It's 10 min drive from the bus stop and the city. Beautifully located in a garden, right by the sea, so we walked out of the room into the sea. Also the beautiful White Beach is only a 10 min walk away. The staff was super friendly and helpful. They helped us rent a motorbike, they organise all sorts of trips and activities. We did a fun snorkeling boat trip with them. There is no breakfast included, but there is a bar and restaurant on site and the food is ok and decently priced. We also loved the atmosphere of the place. Lots of cool people. We meet plenty of nice people, made some new friends.

Nothing to complain about

The food was very tasty. We planned on going into town for meals since we had spent the previous 3 days in town. However the food at the the Blue Orchid was so good and the ambience and company were so amazing that we ate all our meals at the resort. We did the SCUBA refresher course with Jeff one day and dove with the sardines etc the next day. My wife hadn’t dove for 15 years and was a bit apprehensive. We were very grateful for Jeff’s gentle and patient approach to getting us back underwater. The dives were so amazing and hugely exceeded our expectations. Thank you Jeff! Erica and Connor also well above and beyond in their amazing helpfulness and support. You guys rock!!!

The location is quite offbeat from the city. The reception closes at 8pm. So if there's anything you need after that, you are bound to struggle. We booked 4 rooms and not all had same basic infra. The lower rooms lacked table.

The massage location is spot on! Free gears and location for snorkelling.

Not a bad word to say. I wish we had of stayed longer and experienced more diving and snorkelling adventures.

Great location, 10mins trike ride out of Panagsama which I really liked because it’s more relaxed than the hectic streets of Moalboal and Panagsama. If you want to go their for night life etc it’s super easy but then you get to come home to paradise. The reef is literally right on the doorstep of your room and easy access. First snorkel we saw turtles, loads of coral and different fishes. The staff are super friendly and cater for everything you want to do in the region like canyoneering and diving etc.

The bathroom or more specifically, the plumbing could use some updating. The toilet smelled sometimes and wouldn’t flush. The property could use better shower head and be elevated easily if they offered better toiletries as the safeguard soap can be too harsh on sensitive skin. The room that we stayed in had a bird living outside the wall and would wake us up at night, which is fine since it’s nature, but thought I would mention it incase someone needs peace and quiet for sleep.

I liked that they had a restaurant in the resort. The food was excellent, deserving of a 3.5 star resort. I loved learning to dive with the dive master, Jeff. We saw two turtles on our first dive and felt very safe in the water with him.

Stunning location close enough but also not too close to the busy but quaint town of Moalboal. Really enjoyed the feel of having your own cottage with sea view. We walked out of our cottage right down to the shore where we could start snorkelling immediately and saw the most incredible corals and marine life. Sea turtles, banded sea snake were highlights but we saw much more. Overall a very relaxing stay and we would have stayed longer if we could.

No credit card payments was a bit frustrating but we were notified in advance and the combination of cash and a bank transfer was easy.

Being "isolated" from the noisy, touristy areas was great. As was being able to get to the touristy main streets in just 20 mins by trishaw. Connections to trusted adventure providers for the Canyoneering (highly recommended - a huge hit for our teenage boys) and diving with the Whale Sharks at Oslob (well worth the 2 hr drive each way). Extensive food menu. Lovely staff. Clean, large rooms.

Rooms did not have comfortable seating - only had a bench in the room and dining style chairs on the veranda. The bed is covered with netting so it was difficult to even sit on the bed to just relax. Bathrooms did not include hand towels or any hooks in or near shower for a bath towel. Rooms only included one bar of soap meaning you had to take it from the sink to the shower and the shampoo provided looked like it came from grocery store samples. Would have been nice to include body wash and shampoo in the shower.

Grounds are beautiful and rooms large and comfortable. Staff and owners are excellent. Restaurant very good. Blue Orchid was able to arrange for tours, transportation and even had their own expeditions. Dive shop was very well stocked with all equipment necessary. Nice snorkeling right off the resort grounds.
