Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

HungaryEverything was great, I have literally 0 complaints.
It's located near the center, in an area with great public transport. The building is nice, the hotel is very clean and charming. The room had a spotless, spacious bathroom, fresh bedsheets and covers, a table big enough to comfortably eat alongside with a functioning kitchenette, and a built-in wardrobe with a large mirror. The staff was friendly and they let us check out a bit later than the normal hours. Overall 10/10 experience, if I come back to Poznań, I'll try to book a stay here again.

EstoniaNoise from the corridor could be heard in the room, and the kitchen equipment was quite limited compared to other similar apartments I've stayed in.
Very nice apartment in a good location in the city centre, walking distance from the railway station. I particularly liked how well-lit the place was. Bed was very comfortable and everything was very clean. Staff very helpful and polite, contacted me with all the information and didn't mind that I was checking in after midnight.

United KingdomUnfortunately, the water pressure in the shower is underwhelming, which is a major issue for me personally. If one is sensitive to sound, there might be quieter options to choose from as the building is situated right off the main road. However, it's important to reiterate that the location is ideal.
The location is ideal. You're walking distance from the city centre while staying in the fabulous Jeżyce district, right off the main street. You're also only two stops away from the main railway station, which is ideal for people travelling by train. There's a plethora of local shops, bakeries, cafés, restaurants, and bars in the area. There're even a local fruit and veg marekt! Many of them are worth checking out before choosing a central location for dinner or drinks. The staff is absolutely lovely and communicative. The building itself has an interesting family history. The interior design is immaculate, authentic, and exactly what I wanted - not easy to come around these days. The kitchen area has everything one would need. The building is very secure and situated in a seemingly safe area.

Czech RepublicCan be bit disrupting to fall asleep earlier than ~22:00 as there can be quite a lot of noises from older equipment/furniture - not disruptively noisy, but you can hear them sometimes from other apartments. Nothing to worry about but to know about it - it comes with name of these apartments, just that you know it's not perfectly silenced rooms/flats as anything built in last 10 years :) Still 9/10, thanks for nice experience <3
Cozy interior, comfy furniture and almost perfectly silence neighborhood. Żabka and Jeżyk close enough to walk there whenever you remember that you 'need' it right now.

SerbiaThere are a couple of things worth noting (that did not bother me, but may bother someone): There is no elevator. Even though the old furniture is refurbished and restored to a near-new state and it is generally clean, the apartment still has a bit of a "grandma's place" feel - it has a bit of an "old smell". The kitchen has a functional stove and cooking utensils, a water boiler and a fridge, but there is no toaster, no microwave, no coffee maker.
Good location - close to the train station and city center. Also a good neighborhood, very safe, with plenty of shops in the neighborhood (incl. a small grocery store across the street, open until 11pm). The whole building consists of apartments for rent, the hosts are living on the first floor. They are very responsive, the check in and check out was smooth. The apartment is clean, spacious, comfy and everything in it is functional.

New ZealandThe internet being unreliable would normally not have mattered as it was good enough to download maps etc if you had time and patience. However we needed the internet for a work call and we ended up paying international roaming charges as the wifi just wouldn't work when we needed it.
Interesting part of town, close to trams and an open market. Liked the effort the owner made to share the history of the apartment. It is a historical 'retro' apartment so mod-cons such as dishwasher do not feature and internet was unreliable.

IrelandOnly one slight thing we would have liked a toaster in the apartment but of course this may just not be a Polish thing .
Close to trams and walkable to the old market square, Cathedral and good shopping mall.

We had a fantastic stay at Apartamenty Retro! The host was lovely and very friendly. We appreciated being able to check in earlier and even got to choose between rooms as they had availability. In terms of the apartments themselves, they are beautifully decorated and transport you to a bygone era. There is some touching history to the building and it's clear the family try hard to preserve that. Our stay at Apartamenty Retro was absolutely great; I would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend it.

NetherlandsI just didn't give a 10 because you can easily hear the other guests. It becomes a bit noisy sometimes
Really great place, they've put lots of effort into re creating that early 20th century atmosphere. Clean and beautiful, convenient for the train/bus station
