Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

RomaniaThe main idea of the apartment's design is original, but things are run down. There is also a noticeable lack of cleaning, as well as a lack of towels and soap.
The staff was involved in communicating details regarding access to the location, as well as parking. Bonus...the city center is 10 minutes away and there are shops right on the ground floor of the apartment.

United StatesThere needs to be more towels. We only were given two bath and two hand towels. And even those were clearly overused. They were basically grey, not white. Towels are not expensive, so it always puzzles me when a properly tries to save on this basic amenity. There wasn't any towels in the kitchen, neither regular, not paper towels, so we had to repurpose one of the bathroom hand towels for the kitchen. The shower drains rather slowly. Not quite standing water, but probably should be declogged. The shower cabin is tiny, which, I suppose is a norm for a European shower, but the bathroom itself is spacious, so I didn't quite see the reason for the tiny shower cabin, though I do realize that's not an easy fix. There were no places in the bathroom to put the toiletries. No shelves, no hooks. Seems like those are small improvements which don't cost a lot, but improve the comfort dramatically. It would have been great if those were added. The kitchen could use cooking utensils. E.g. a spatula at least. Most lights in the kitchen were out. The wifi was constantly dropping out in the evenings (can't speak for during the day as we were out and about) - it was quite challenging to work effectively with constant wifi interruptions. The bedroom could use a couple of night stands on either side of the bed or even just a shelf. The windows don't have any mosquito nets, so if you want to air out the room, you are contending with incoming bugs. The heating is central from what we could tell and was off for the season, which made for chilly nights during our April stay. I didn't notice any A/C anywhere, but we didn't need it in April. Frankly, I think most of these things can be discovered quickly if the host would just stay in that property themselves for a few days just to get how it is.
The location is great. Right near the old town and the train station, so both sight seeing and arriving/departing is easy. The property is spacious for two people. The laundry machine was quite a welcome amenity for a traveler. There were even a couple of detergent pods provided. Thank you for that! Noise levels were tolerable for a European property in a stone building (neighbors and street could be faintly heard, so ear plugs can be useful). The street was reasonably quiet. There is a lot mentioned in the negatives below, but don't take that as a take down review. The combination of price and amenities makes it a reasonable property to stay in. It must be noted that the photos are dated at this point and are likely retouched. I understand that every property does this, so it's not an unexpected outcome, but still disappointing. I'd also say that the furniture arrangement in the photos is better than it actually is now. Not sure what prompted the rearrangement, but I'd recommend reverting to how it shows in the photos. It's just looks more open in the photos. We didn't care much for the loft beds, since there were only two of us. Larger group may have something to say about those. There's a small fridge, which I call a "dorm fridge", but it does have a freezer shelf. We didn't use the TV, so no comments there. In general, I'd likely stay here again.

United KingdomThe property could be done with some updating, much of the furniture is showing wear and tear. There wasn't much in the kitchen, no hand towel for drying dishes/hands. Floor felt a little sticky and shower could have done with thorough clean.
Easy access from train station following late flight. Central location. Communication with host. Spacious apartment.

United KingdomThe flat needs updated. A lot of the furniture was chipped and the sink and shower in the bathroom needed replaced. The toilet wasn't very clean. We tried to use the sofa bed in the living room but it was stained and had a terrible smell of stale body odour. The upstairs area is very small in height and would be difficult for an adult to sleep there. The apartment has lots of potential but definitely needs upgraded and given a good clean. It doesn't really look like the pictures.
Very close to the main square and transport in Krakow. Apartment was big. The owners were friendly.

DenmarkSleeping arrangements were as follows: - 1 standard double bed, which was okay. - 2 sofas that were very hard, each covered with a blanket. These were very uncomfortable to sleep on and caused back pain. - 1 standard double bed with a broken bed frame. The wooden slats underneath were either loose or kept collapsing. - 3 mattresses laid out on the floor in the loft area. In addition to this, there were the following issues and shortcomings: - An air conditioning unit with a sign saying “don’t touch please.” Air conditioning was not included in the listing, but it would have been a great help, as it gets extremely hot at night. - The toilet’s large flush didn’t work, so it had to be flushed several times before it worked properly. - The shower was unhygienic; the shower curtain most likely has never been replaced. - One of the steps on the stairs leading up to the loft was loose, making it dangerous to climb up. - The loft had no railing, which made it quite risky to move around up there at night. - The extractor hood in the kitchen had been removed, making it unusable.
The location: It was close to the city life and some attractions.

United KingdomThe apartment was smelly and dirty Stains on all the mattresses and sofa bed the bedding didn’t look clean or fresh . All the beds were not fit to sleep on . Very dated and tired . We didn’t stay there as it was so bad . There was a strong smell of cigarettes there was dust everywhere and 1 of our party had asthma, none of our party wanted to slum it there so we booked another apartment which was £100.00 more and it was beautiful . I received a phone call from the host who was very aggressive and when I told them about the state it was in he got very shirty and denied all the faults and laughed and put the phone down . I blocked his number as I was frightened .

United KingdomThe description of the property did not match the reality. The mezzanine area had safety concerns, as did other things in the apartment. If I'd have known this, I wouldn't have booked it.

South AfricaBecause the apartment is situated in a historical building, there is no elevator.
In a quiet street with the Galleria Mall, bus station and railway station 5 min walk one side, and Old Town 10 min walk to the other side. The flat has plenty of windows, well stocked kitchen and washing machine. On the ground floor is a mini market. The owner is easily contactable and was kind enough to help with my luggage.
