How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Bed was not very comfortable. It was against a wall so not very accessible for a double bed. There was no bedside table to put a phone, glass of water on etc. (Having said all that, the hotel was clearly in the middle of a major refurbishment, so some features may change.)
Good location. Excellent breakfast.

Noise from other rooms and street. Strange location of the table, so it was a bit uncomfortable to use roller blinds, radiator and the kettle (the outlet was very close)
Located in the Old Town Center, most of the sites are nearby, within walking distance, staff is very friendly and helpful

the aircon was not working in both rooms and windows are not the kind you can open. Therefore it was a bit hot and no air.
We liked the most amazing breakfast. The location is superb. We liked how clean and renovated the hotel was. We would come back here.

It's issues were that the duvet wasn't wide enough for the bed so mean someone often got could. Having a big window into where people went past. Letting light into the room when asleep from that corridor.
Room was a great size and lovely to look at in terms of decor. Location was great as just outside square so was quiet but really close to the main areas. The breakfast was great but maybe expensive for Poland;s normal prices but cheap for UK.

My only complaint is that it is difficult to locate from the outside.
Very clean and comfortable. Great breakfast and excellent shower. The location is very close to the city square. Second time staying at Hotel Patio.

The hotel in undergoing a refurbishment, which caused a little bit of chaos and noise, however the staff were apologetic and gave us instructions on how to navigate through the corridors.
The staff are very friendly and helpful, they provided additional pillows upon request, booked taxis for us and we were able to leave our luggage for a few hours after checking out.

The pillows were far not comfortable, we asked for a change and they gave us new ones which were better but still below the average. It was quite noisy in the night - first of all, the hotel is close to bars and pubs and there is also a small but busy street just in front of the hotel - some drivers were testing the speed limit of their cars in the middle of the night.
The hotel is located right in the centre of the old town - literally 5 minutes away from the main attractions. The room was ok, good view to the Cathedral in front, bathroom and toilet were separated. There is an option for adding breakfast but we did not take it. The price was very good but I believe the reason for that were the renovations works that were taking place in the lobby of the hotel.

No shelves in the shower room
Location was great, 2 mins from the square. Breakfast was fantastic, the pancakes were amazing. It was great value for money. I would 100% stay here again.

i had no complaints with anything
great breakfast buffet and you could order from a menu, large room even with two singles and you had a view into a courtyard, very spacious bathroom and the location to the christmas markes was supurb and that was my main reason for my return to this city .

The light in the room is not strong enough, especially in the evening/at night.
I find breakfast extremely delicious, you can easily choose different hot meals during the week. Excellent location, helpful people.
