Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

The lights in the apartment are not so bright. Walking to the town (restaurants, bars, etc) takes quite some time, especially if it's bad weather. The pictures at booking.com don't reflect the size of the apartment. There are no doors between bedroom and living room. So it feels like one big room with different sections.
Close to the beach, walking distance. Friendly and helpful staff. Free parking. Smooth check-in and -out. The room is a bit old but it is kept clean and cozy.

1.-shower too small for me, (adult person over age 60). The shower holder was broken, so it was necessary to hold shower in one hand during shower. 2. -some of the beds were not flat enough, but we were able to choose a different bed in the cabin which was OK.
location is the best , not surrounded on each side by other tourist cabins good restaurant recommendations

The house wasn't so clean and we found cans and bottles from the previous guests in the cupboard. It was pretty hot in the house and as it was loud outside from the neighbours (the houses are very close to each other and we could hear every neighbour opening doors etc.) not so easy to sleep with open windows. The beds weren't too cozy and the bedding/linen was synthetic material, so also pretty warm.
Cute cottages with basic furniture and equipment. Nice location close to the beach and a nice walking path through the forest to get there. The owner is a sweet person.

The host was exceptionally helpful and took a very good care of us during the whole stay. I travelled with my dog, the Rancho Welcomes all the pets. The location is next to the forrest and a short walk to the beach, that was absolutely amazing!

The location is super and it's perfect for families. There is space for everyone, even our dog was welcome. We really enjoyed and would recommend Rancho Ohio. The most striking and amazing was the hospitality of Peter! Thank you so much!

The owner of Ohio is a Legend. I forgot my souvenir and he send it with mail back to netherlands! Great Price/quality. I recommend this man. Only in Ohio you find this good service.

The biggest problem was the terrible, musty smell of old furniture that permeated the entire room. The bedding was also very questionable. The bed was covered with multiple layers of what appeared to be old sheets, making the cleanliness of the mattress and covers a real concern. The lighting was extremely poor. The main room was dim, but the bathroom was even worse. A single, weak light bulb made it nearly impossible to see. Taking a shower was completely out of the question; the shower cabin was unpleasant and rusty, and the shower itself was unusable. Water leaked from the hose instead of coming out of the head, and during our two-day stay, none of us felt comfortable enough to even attempt to use it. For anyone who values cleanliness, this hotel can be a challenge.
While the location is excellent - relatively close to the beach, the sea, and the town center - and the room was spacious with a new, large TV, these positives were completely overshadowed by several significant issues.

Because it is located further from all the busy and noisy center one would expect it to be quiet... But unfortunately there were stag parties from Friday till Monday. They didn't respect the night quiet hours and the owner didn't bother to ask them to. The furnishings is very basic, no wardrobe whatsoever or anything to hang the clothes. One door of the kitchen cabinet was broken, which the owner saw but didn't bother to fix. The shower was leaking, had to clean the water pound everytime after the shower. Shower cabin it too small.
The location is good, it is close to the sea. The owner is friendly and works hard to make your stay nice. The hot water supply was perfect!!! Enough for 6 adults to take showers at any time of the day or night.

Outdated, rather inconvenient layout of the room, and extremely uncomfortable bathtub with shower - we had to take it seated; cleaning lady tried to enter at 9 (although we agreed with the owner to check out at 10:30 - she literally knocked on the door, and started to open it while I was changing). Noisy neighbors in the main building (solved with earplugs for the following nights).
Location, quite clean, beautiful path to the beach (around 10’ walk). Good coffee-maker.
